I totally agree with you. This "spoof" was so unfunny that I now think maybe matrix 2 and 3 are not so bad after all.
Hmmm.. I think it was the Wachovskis who put this out so that compared to this tripe, their movies come out smelling like roses...
Heh.. Imagine if this was actually the real sequel and the ones that were released were the spoofs! Darn we have all been criticizing Matrix Retarded and Matrix Regurgitation unfairly.
I am off to the movies to watch them again. Anyone coming?
Panther(Darwin) has its own *kernel* derived from the Mach. It only uses the FreeBSD userland. They usually try to keep the userland in synch with FreeBSD periodically and this version is going to have some of the bits from freebsd 5.
I am sure Panther is going to kick ass. I only wish I could justify buying a Mac for myself....

If you have a Nvidia graphics card, their drivers have an "nview" extension you can enable for multiple desktops.
I use FreeBSD 90% of the time so right now I can only tell you from memory its somewhere in Desktop Settings->Video adapter/driver->advanced options
Some of the settings are pretty nifty. Like transparent windows when moving, etc.
My company uses FreeBSD and we push any bug fixes etc upstream. It makes sense to contribute back if the changes you make, make the base better. You don't need to maintain it against a changing base.
I think the BSD license makes sense. Everybody contributes together to make a common platform and you build your own value added services on top. Its in your own best interests to give back to the community to make sure you have a strong and vibrant platform for your business.
If the ratio for water was actually 3:2 instead of 2:1, fuel cells (like on US space missions) would wind up with an excess of hydrogen after reaction. That has not been observed.
Don't you mean a deficit of hydrogen?
3/5 is less than 2/3
This is somewhat similar to the situation that FreeBSD faced in the 3.X series. Work on 3-CURRENT trudged along seemingly forever, and finally a cry was made to ``just ship it'' and clean up later. This decision resulted in the 3.0 and 3.1 releases being very unsatisfying for most, and it wasn't until 3.2 that the series was considered ``stable''. To make matters worse, the RELENG_3 branch was created along with the 3.0 release, and the HEAD branch was allowed to advance immediately towards 4-CURRENT. This resulted in a quick divergence between HEAD and RELENG_3, making maintenance of the RELENG_3 branch very difficult. FreeBSD 2.2.8 was left for quite a while as the last production-quality version of FreeBSD.
Our intent is to avoid repeating that scenario with FreeBSD 5.x. Delaying the RELENG_5 branch until it is stable and production quality will ensure that it stays maintainable and provides a compelling reason to upgrade from 4.X, To do this, we must identify the current areas of weakness and set clear goals for resolving them.
Got bandwidth? Mad at SCO? Download a 5mb file from here or launch an unspecified number of wget processes
Yeah, right.
You will next see this quoted on SCO's Quotations from Linux Leaders page with the caption:
"Conclusive proof that a leader of the Linux movement 'Anonymous Coward' (must be important seeing the number of his posts on Slashdot) is trying to DDOS SCO's servers. Shows that the open source community is scum and proves our point."
Give it a rest will you! There are better ways to fight this fight.
Newest version of what, idiot.
He probably means Firefox.
Here is a firefox extension for bugmenot
Thanks OP!

Did you try downloading it on Kazaa ?
SCO cannot have any claims over FreeBSD now. Maybe the thing that hurt freebsd's adoption most during its early days will now actually help it.....
