For you it might be waste for someone else it might be gold.

KDE Plasma 5.4 Released

In Plasma that is just one of the new options available and you can easily switch back to Kickoff launcher (which is still default) or a plain simple menu like launcher. Or you can completely remove the launcer and just use keyboard based KRunner.
Well the problem was that KDE wasn't only the desktop anymore. The desktop was only one small part of software the hardworking contributers produced. So in the end KDE became the name of the people working on the software and if you only wan't to refer to the desktop part, now you say KDE Plasma desktop.
Couldn't agree more. Jabber is the future. We need open standards and freedom to deploy our own servers for open protocols. Just like wth e-mail. Imagine what a sucky world it would be if there were so many incompatible and propriatery e-mail standards owned by companies. Just scarry.
You can find a list of Jabber clients (and other usefull apps and utils) on Jabber Studio page. I'm sure you can find something that will work just fine.
Jabber is a great protocol and it has a lot of flexibility in it and will expand into who know what in the future. It is also quite popular here and it became my main IM protocol a few months ago. I use Miranda IM with Jabber plugin and it works perfectly stable. In Linux I use Gabber and it laso works just fine. I have a Jabber server runing on my home LAN and so we can easily chat even if the internet connection is down.
Thanks to all working on Jabber and clients for bringing us this great piece of code!
Yup, it works much better than 3.5 and 4.x. but that's just me. You have your own requirements and you will have to try it and see for yourself.

KernelNewbies isn't reachable at this time so a nice review of cool new features in Linux 3.9 is available at The H Open.

Jabber on people!
Is this great product available in Europe? Or any other portable player that has support for excellent Ogg Vorbis?
