  1. That's a big "if", is currently false and will be false for hundreds of years still. This is declared intent to cause injury, making it a bit past borderline illegal. It is poorly thought through immoral marketing buzz. There is no positive angle to this "story" or even much to say except Mercedez-Benz has decided to let the interns do PR.

  2. Idealism and sheltered intellectual fantasies don't fix anything. The fantasy of "third party" is just that because in every country with "third parties" actual governance requires alliance with one of the largest, usually two with each on opposing sides of the political spectrum; see UK liberal, labour, and conservatives.

Geography limits development in San Francisco. Major buildings are heavy, and are stupid to build in areas subject to both frequent earthquakes and widespread liquefaction of the ground during them. Policy limits on development are aimed at safety due to known physics. See the very clear map here.

You are proposing a fantasy "do this" plan with no consideration of actual logistics or any costs. I think you need to review a lot of economics and geography, if not also the basis of the humanities. Beggars existed in Pompei in the same conditions, and the rich and well off were compassionate enough to donate rather than ignore them.

  12. Don't underestimate the value of medical privacy. Sure you may be healthy now, but if records were public or even just as accessible as bank records then you risk insurance "adjusting" rates to force you off the plan as soon as you need it (while they profit from your past payments drawing interest), as well as employers having even more reasons that you're "just not the right for us".

You might want to reread all of that "more than twice as often" means 1/3~33% accuracy for the entire group of 23 symptom checking computer programs vs 2/3~66% accuracy for the doctors. Machines have the advantages of pure data processing, so this result shows that instant recall and effectively infinite knowledge bases still don't measure up to the cognitive processes performed by trained medical doctors during diagnosis.
