    As the country gets more and more broadband users, are we getting more and more bandwidth, or are we just spreading it out. I personally feel that my bandwidth has gone from sufficent to insufficent... how do the rest of you feel?

    Okay okay, so for regular people we are talking about a nice, expensive, digital, disposible camera... But I'd expect so much more from slashdotters. A lot of you out there are saying that you rent the camera, they reuse it 8 times... blah blah blah.... The fact is that you can PURCHASE THE CAMERA. There is no rental agreement, you do not have to garuntee that you will return the camera to the company so they can recycle it.

    This should be great news! On-board this baby has a 16MB memory of some type(probably great for a lot of projects) and even more importantly a COLOR LCD screen. All this for $20? 20megapixle digital camera parts a plus!

    This is one of the best hardware parts purchase you could make ever. I for one am going to be running my AIM conversations on an array of digital LCDs taped to the side of my monitor about a year from now.

    Isn't it possible, since Mars does not have a thick atmosphere like earth, that rocks that are found on Mars's surface are not nessicarly from mars?

    If they didn't have any other identifying information on you (i.e. your name) then keeping a record of the prints would be pretty worthless, unless they would then compare those prints to other databases (i.e. criminal, etc)... but I agree, a clear violation of your right to privacy.

    Ummm, this happens to e-mail all the time, and I don't see people out there crying for e-mail systems to be seperate devices from desktop computers... yeah there is the potential for hazzards, but if we backed down ever time there was a danger we wouldn't be very far, now would we...

    Product integration is a great idea. I'm happy my phone has a digital camera in it, I'm happy I can sync it to outlook. Both my PDA and Digital camera are factors of 10 better than the tools on my moto V400.... but when I'm steping out of the house it's nice to not have to gear down unnessicarly.

    A phone needs to be just everything it can possibly be.

    How about the malicious code writer that actually caused your problem. I agree that good OS software should be implimented no matter what device it is running, but let's not let the REAL cuprit slide on this one.

    I just graduated in May from University of Connecticut with a Computer Science and Engineering degree. I found a job by the begining of August... but I'm the rareity. Most of my friends have had a real hell of a time finding jobs, and even the job I took didn't pay as much as I was hoping. Finding a CS job right now is not so easy. Is the market saturated with computer people... Are employers taking experience over education? Is it really worth it to get a CS degree, or would it be more valible (and a couple factors of 10 less expensive) to get a bunch of certifications?

    I just don't see why the PHP hating is going on... PHP is awesome, and from the latest update to your site "Well it's finally here. This is the 4th version of the site and I am much happier with it than all of the others. There has been many improvements to the backend of this site as well which make it much more pleasant to update."

    mod_perl has advantages and disadvantages, but for what people are using the net for right now, and the cost/time of development, PHP is the way to go as far as I'm concerned. /. has done a great job with their site, and I love how it works... would it work well as a PHP implemented project? It'd probably work better.

    This is just kinda pointless... No one to go out and actatively enforce, and meta-tags aren't used by search engines anyway... I guess if a court was trying to throw the book at a company who's website was in violation of other laws that this might be something they could stack on, but other than that it seems like it's not that big of a deal.
