This entire article reads like "Here is something no one really believes in the first place, and here is why it isn't true." This isn't "debunking myths", this is taking things that MAY have been true about gaming 10 years ago, and listing common sense exceptions that anyone reading the games section of/. would mutter in their sleep.

1.) Import my existing Quickbooks data from the last 2-3 years.
hopeless. That's the only reason I maintain my stupid winxp dualboot setup -- for access to 4 years of business transactions that are forever locked up in quickbooks. bleh.
Not hopeless, at my office I used a (windows) program by a company called 'Digital Cows' to export all of my QB data into a 'plays nice with others' format. (I used CSV and imported to mysql, I think it supports xls, but I've never used it). It's not free, I had to have my employer cover it, but it's a nice simple option.
There is also the quickbooks SDK, which IS free. With a little work, you can export all of your data.
Intuit sure doesn't make it easy, but it is certinally not hopeless.

The two major parties have BOTH been taking turns eroding our rights for generations. Just swapping out one set of criminals for another wont change anything. Doesn't the public see this? How can our collective memory be so short? The Democrats piss us off, so we elect Republicans, they screw something up, and hand back off the the Democrats. Rinse, repeat (always repeat). This has been going on for a VERY long time. If we want real change, we need to have some MAJOR housecleaning in Washington. Stricter term limits, tighter reigns on corruption and lobbying, maybe actually USE all of those checks and balances our founding fathers so thoughtfully provided us.
The real source of our problems here are not the terrorists, the Bush Administration, the Republicans, the Democrats, or even the corporate lobbyists - it's US - the American People, for buying into their crap, time after time after time.
I've never used websecret before, but I've been looking for a nice throw-off CC# to buy things from Paypal only merchants or online shops that seem a little on the 'sketchy' side. Are there any similar services out there open to the public? Most of the disposible credit card offers I've seen are only open to current customers of Credit Card Company X.
