I was looking to do a similar thing except for my home.
I would strongly recommend an Axis 2120 Camera. They have an auto iris lense to prevent it from damage when exposed to sunlight, it can also be hooked up via 10/100 ethernet or standard serial port to a land line or a cellular modem.
This will provide for much more scalability. It also has built in motion detection and can send pictures via FTP before after and during a break in. It also has a build in web server, and can alert you via email when an alarm is triggered.
I have a couple of friends who use Mailsafe for their email.
Mailsafe provides a High-Security Email System. You access your mail over a HTTPS connection, so no one can sniff your mail. I find that their Secure Mail system to be a very good alternative to Hotmail and other free email systems.
The only problem is the fact that they charge per account. For people who actually can't deal with downtimes Mailsafe will be perfect for them.
Although I'm not a subscriber, I'd recommend it since all my friends that use it LOVE the service.
Just one thing I've noticed, not saying it is good or bad, is that there is a lot more moderation being done now. The weeks before all these new moderating features took form, setting threshold to level 2 gave me a few selected good articles. Now at level 2 often there are a lot of articles which most of are good. Now I've set threshold to level 3. Great to see there is more work on the moderation field taking place. Lot of progress, this is really going to be a big sucess. Good job Rob!!!
Although he did register 200 domain names, making Network Solutions, even richer, he did not pick up all anti-bush names. Boycottbush.com is still open.. Network Solutions must like this new idea, and hopes even more organizations follow it...

Its pretty funny that slashdot linked to www.techpages.com, which was a totally flash site (what morons put no other alternative).
So I was forced to use my Windows 2000 box to check out the site. Anyways you can view the information on the Linux AOL Client by clicking
Then you can download it too! (by clicking)
The image @ http://www.inside-aol.com/ss3/cris@aoledited.jpg has apparently been slashdotted
You can now view it at
http://www.nols.com/slashdot/cris@aoledited.jpg without having to wait an hour for it to load.
You can view NYTIMES articles by changing www to www10, changing it to partners no longer works.

I have expierence the exact same problem. My ssh sessions would time out if they were idle.
/bin/echo -e "300\c" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_keepalive_time
/bin/echo -e "300\c"
My solution was just doing
That would increase the keepalive time, thus stop the disconnects. Ever since I've done that I've never had a problem again.
Depending on your version of bash you might not be able to do
You want 300 without a line break so you might have to do
/bin/echo "300\c"
This should help you and all others who have this problem.
For those who still dont know you can use WWW10 instead of partners or www.nytimes.com Below is the link
