They use control-Alt-Delete because if you have noticed that brings up the Windows task manager or the logon screen. It is a security feature because at one time a good programmer could write a program that looked like a logon screen and when the user typed in his password then the program could capture the password. With the control-alt-delete feature then instead of bringing up a login screen a task manager will now show.
Besides if it bothers you, you can disable it from the group policy editer
I would prefer that there were no adds but a company has to make some money. At least they still offer a free downloadable ISO unlike some other companies (SUSE)
I see lots of people putting down XP, but in reality XP is the best MS operating system yet. The problem most of the time is that people will not take the time to learn anything new. When 98 came out all the 95 users complained, when 2k came out all the 98 and NT users complained and now with 2003 and XP all the 2k user complain.
These users want the technology to stay the same and to never change. Well that will never happen. It is time for all the NT users to consider making the upgrade and learn something new and better and to quit talking about the old NT glory days because today is better and XP is far superior to NT, 9x and 2k and NT.
