    And what are you going to do when Walmart is the one taking your house? Shoot 100K share holders? Or more likely, the rent-a-cop, or the CEO corporate flunky? As long as you're making a blood sacrifice, that will even the books? Are you willing to destroy your family's economic survival to prove a point?


    The answer not just "yes...it's HELL FUCKING YES! If I'm kicked out of my home and property because I'm too "poor" to afford my own investment, then I personally have nothing left to live for. Everyone has their own value on life, and this is mine. It's because of such actions how revolutions are started.

    You would think. But what happens when everyone but you has this technology? It's obvious. They will use this free time for more productivity in order to be on top of the competition. As such, we all most compete as well or be left bankrupt and without a job while everyone else is following suite.

    This is what I've been trying to convey in my original post.

    Well that's just it. Computers allow for more work to be done in the same amount of given time. As such, if you wish to remain competitive in the work force so to stay employeed, we must use these tools to maintain an advantage.

    Basically, we are slaves to ourselves. We always have been, only we have become more efficient at it.

    All the TCP/IP acceleration isn't going to do you jack shit if the server is running like crap. Also, you will need a good gigabit switch or router with CAT6 in place to remotely take advantage of this new NIC.

    Basic rule of thumb still applies. "Your fastest connection is your slowest link"

    No, but it sounds like Intel might choose it form them. After all, Intel is working implementing DRM inside next generation chipsets and CPUs.

    Gee, could it be that Intels evil roadmap is set to pander to Apple, or is Apple eyeing Intel because of DRM?

    First off, I'm very ignorant when it comes to programming. That said, couldn't one just let the compiler optimize source code into multi-threaded binary regardless of how the original program was coded? If so, would it work better with higher level programming languages such as Java?

    Actually, Apple products have always been expensive. Even the RAM sold through Apple is far more expensive then good quality stuff from Micron. Part for part, Apple always marks up the price.

    Fact is, people have come acustomed to "You get what you pay for" attitude that Apple has decided to cloak their brand around artificially inflated price points.
