I did hear a small blurb in the media about price fixing this last week, but that was it. But well...that was it. I would THINK the media would be jumping on this with more force then with happend with Enron. So that leaves me thinking one of two things.
1. It was all made up and thus gained no support.
2. The government stepped in and "unofficially" told the media to keep shut on this subject. If word got out on price fixing, we could end up with a panic and people rushing to the gas pumps like in the 70s. Such an event would really be a problem out of interests of national security and destabilization of our ecconomy.
I'm not saying those in the oil industry shouldn't be punished. But would it really be wise to get all in a frenzy over it at this point in time?

2. You will NEVER find a poor Democrat in office. In fact, you will never find a poor politition...period. It costs money to run for office.

In fact, because of the media and entertainment industry machine, I wouldn't be suprised if Democrats actually have more wealth then Republicans.
Anyways, it's a moot point as I've said before. Untill people STOP voting a strait ticket without looking at who all will be voted with the rest of the party...only then can we weed out the corrupted. Or at least, most of the corruption in relation to what we have now.

In 1st world countries however, civilization doesn't offer much support for a 12 year old in terms of employment opportunities that would be needed to purchase goods and services to support their children. And it's not like the can live off the land (hunt, gather) in cities like LA, Newyork, or Houston.
I'll tell you why not. It's because of the level of mental maturity and the level of personal responsibility they are able to handle at such a young age.
And yes, it's very easy for a 12 year old to become pregnate and even come full term to give birth. So the question is, who is going to provide child support? You better not advocate the government, because that gets paid for by the citizens tax dollars.

If your going to go Open Source, you need to go with a version of Unix/Linux that will work on x86 PC hardware. While the Mac OSX is a marvel of an OS, your limited by the hardware it supports which is *suprise* Apple hardware. I will tell you first hand however that Apple will charge you insane fees for support once the warrenty runs out. If you do decide to go with the Mac platform, be damned sure you get the apple care contract (extended warrenty).
At least with Windows, there is lots of support online and can be installed on any PC you build or buy off the shelf. Then again, so can Unix/Linux

But they do want to define and constitute the definition of what the original PC is at the time of installation. Both you and I know that a single PC can and does evolve over time with incrimental hardware upgrades. But not if the only improvement is a time-bomb set to go off if I don't register my computer with Microsoft.
Ya, I agree. When XP was first released, the slightest change in hardware or device driver would trip windows into thinking the harddrive with XP got migrated over to another PC...hence new license. But SP1 totally relaxed this and haven't run into this problem ever sence.
But, even if you ran out of times to activate over the Internet, doing this over the phone is a joke. All Microsoft want's to do is check if the key you provide falls into one of two catagories: OEM, and Retail to prevent piracy. Again, it's a joke and BS-ing microsoft is easy. They will always ask why you are reinstalling, and I just tell them I had to format my harddrive. No other questions asked.
If the BSOD errors are totally random have nothing in common with each other, it's almost always a RAM issue. If you want to be sure it's a memory issue of some sort, check out Memtest86+. If it detects errors, then you need not go further with the troubleshooting untill you fix this problem first and foremost.
Of all the PCs i've worked on, I've had more hardware problem and decreased reliability with 2K over XP. Of course, only if you used 3rd party drivers and not the ones native to Windows 2k when first installed.
Personally, I will never go back to Win2K. XP is rock solid. And if you dont like the new theme scheme, just turn off the service and it will look and feel exactly like 2k.
Note: If you do get random BSOD errors with 2K or XP, look to fautly memory or memory timing settings.
