The internet does not change things. Copyright was and always will be a dumb, illogical idea. It didn't make sense when the printing press ruled, and it doesn't make sense now.
How does mozilla handle old caches?

I hate getting old data because the browser is caching. Is it easy to totally turn caching off? Under certain circumstances, in mac IE, you can even hit reload and get an old copy.
Drones will outkill any fighter pilot. Same thing in space. The winner will be the one with the fewest people and the best technology. The loser will have a lot of dead people around.
It's just that I don't want old baggage! It's like a closet full of old crap you don't want. If it's old enough to use parallel, I don't even want to use it.
I don't get it with these PC makers. All this legacy baggage. At least no parallel port. I'm building a box with the abit-K7-MAX2, no serial/parallel and 6 USB on the back!
This is so short sighted. Why not invest in technology that will make it so no kids have to be terminaly ill (especially removing intellectual property on it)? Well there's a brand I won't buy.

It's only right that if they make money off linux, they should donate to those who work on it. If they would advertise it, I'd be more likely to buy from them.
Here it says it can theorictally address 40,0000,0000h bytes with 40h bits? Wrong, that should be 1,0000,0000,0000,0000h bytes. They must have 2Ah address pins.
Yes, information wants to be free, which is why it's hard keeping credit card numbers secret. If I had a secret black box that was uncopyable, I wouldn't be see protective of who could see it. But so far as we know, nothing like that exists.
Copyright violation!=stealing. Damn some people are dense. Is it nice not needing hammers around?
But otherwise I don't produce ideas, because NOBODY produces ideas. They exist outside of time. Ding-dong.

Figure in lasers, and these fighter pilots are looking mighty useless. Technology will always rule.

Libertarians won sodomy laws, they'll win this.

Been making this analogy myself for awhile. I find it rather apt, and you make a good point with it.

Newman's Own pledges to donate all profits. If they can do it with all sorts of commodities, couldn't it work with linux?
You? Some slashdot nobody?

Abolish patents, completely. If anyone has mentioned this, go ahead and mod me redundant.
Don't most languages just come up with their own, especially with anoying things like the LF/CR problem?
Trying to keep it locked up is causing all these problems. Business would greatly benefit from free and open information--it's a win-win thing.

PCI-X has nearly the same bandwidth. Why put legacy crap on this? What's next? A 5 1/4 floppy?
Damn big businesses and their $0.99 "marketing prices", don't even notice open projects.

And it will. Sharing is not wrong.
