Knocking this retired generals lights out would be fine with just about anyone. Where most people are having problems is when you go over to his family, neighbour ex classmates, his highschool girlfrienda and all retired military folks in a 50 mile radius of his residence and start punching them in the face.
    It's all about these question:
    1. Can the many be held responsible for the actions of the few?
    2. How much suffering can we allow to happen to the many to bring the few to justice?

Which is not to say I am against military action taken against the attackers of the WTC/USA/Free world, whatever you want to call it. The trouble is the way things are in our society when military force has to be used, the general public never has all the information before the fact (and maybe not even after).
Maybe in fifty years or so when we've had enough time to punch holes in the propaganda stories we'll be able to tell if they measures taken were justified. Trouble is there won't be anyone left to hold responsible when we've got the whole picture.

However, it is still the only Unix (that I know of) that is activily being shipped with SSH and SSL. I think that in itself is pretty amazing. I've heard of no plans for *BSD being shipped with either in the base install.
Allthough my machine is not in sync with the NetBSD-current releases lately, I am reading through the source updates regularly.
SSL was merged into the -current tree of NetBSD yesterday (probably in time to ship with the 1.5 release expected to branch from -current soonish).
As far as SSH is concerned NetBSD takes the hey those are ports! approach.

It's not like I won't notice someone sittingunder my desk with his ear to my monitor cable, right? Unless some of you have monitor cables ranging several tens of metres.

But anyway, they said it took 18 hours to check the data, and there was a three hour window to communicate
    What it actually says is:
There were three 30-minute communications windows yesterday and three more listening windows today. It takes about 18 hours to process the data from each window.

    So simple math tells us (3 + 3) * 18 = 108 hrs.
If all possibilities are exhausted afterthis, a dnet effort would have a 4.5 day window to produce a result.

What I absolutely DISAGREE with, however, is Katz' assertion that someone who speaks out against "pornography" is somehow diluting free speech. Free speech is free if and only if BOTH sides of the issue are heard.
The trouble with this is that among those speaking out against "pornography" are politicians, who -as you stated correctly- might have a different reason when speaking out.
These politicians will try to push legislation to pull "pornographic" and, for that matter, other offending content off the net, bust people for talking about sex in chatrooms and whatnot. This is opposing free speech!

Agreed, the Judge get's it but still is somewhat off on points 50-51:
In theory, then, open-source developers are at least as likely to develop applications for a non-Microsoft operating system as they are to write Windows-compatible applications. In fact, they may be disposed ideologically to focus their efforts on open-source platforms like Linux. Fortunately for Microsoft, however, there are only so many developers in the world willing to devote their talents to writing, testing, and debugging software pro bono publico.

The judge misinterprets the fact that allthough Linux (or any other OpenSource OS) is free, noone is inclined to make applications running on these OS's free!
The points made about an insufficient installed user base for these OS's at the moment still stands though.

The only way to learn how to use implants like you described is probably have them implanted right after birth.
