    Um, actually there are quite a few pistols designed for hunting. Many large caliber revolvers and thompson contenders.

    What about self defense? That's a pretty good application as well, though for that application I DO want a gun that is good at killing people.

    A reasonable response. Training the average person to hit a man sized target usually only takes an hour or so of instruction and usually just a few rounds on the range. Most of the women I train can hit a man sized target reliably at 25 feet in just a magazine or 2. Martial arts also depends heavily on the person attacking you. If that person is 6'3" and 250lbs and has any kind of defensive training, very few people would be able to stop them let alone a 120lb female that stands 5'4" (the last woman I trained).

    As for killing muggers and robbers, usually the presence of a firearm will persuade them to leave very quickly. If it doesn't and they become aggressive, then they had no plans of leaving you alive to begin with. So the presence of a firearm in that situation has nothing but a positive impact for the victim. (unless they do something asinine)

    Where is your citation for your claim? I own firearms and recently have trained several new shooters in defense. Most of them in the last 2 years have been robbed or mugged. Sounds pretty clear cut to me.

    At some time the bitcoin economy will grow to the point that anyone with bitcoins can use them to purchase products, and anyone who needs them can get paid for services with them, and the exchanges importance will shrink.

    Yet plenty of "normal" safes use the exact same methods and technologies. The only difference if whats inside the safe. If I take a normal safe and put a gun in it is it suddenly a gun safe? If a "Gun" safe has no guns in it is it still a "Gun" safe?

    I agree with everything you said, hence why I included "locked cabinets" in my comment. But my other comment holds true, there is no difference in technology between "Gun" safes and normal safes.

    Which as a gun owner can tell you is not really any different from normal safes or locked cabinets. Yes there are companies that specifically cater to that market, but the technologies arent any different.

    2. joules doesnt really give you more than the muzzle energy, and a rounds ability to transfer kinetic energy into the target is much more important.a round with a million joules but doesnt expand so it doesnt create nearly as much permanent and temporary crush cavity as a good old .45 JHP with 800 joules that expands and imparts most of its energy into the target

    3. A .223 ROUND DOES NOT TUMBLE. THEY FRAGMENT.

    Actually that is entirely incorrect. Notice that the second amendment separates the militia from the people. They are not one in the same. The second part is specifically what matters "The right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The first part I believe (though I am not an English major) is called a preamble and simply states the reason for the rest of the sentence.

    Ok, so what are your facts? You still havnt told us what they are.

    Here is a rundown of your proposed explanations

    1. God put junk code in our DNA for no good reason. It doesn't do anything, its just there.

    2. God caused the exact same viral interaction to occur in all life at the same time including animals.

    3. Im not really sure what you were going for in this explanation, but Im guessing you think that its just a coincidence that we found this specific sequence (and by sequence I mean the exact same sequence of thousands of base pairs) of DNA across thousands of species.

    Two random mutations do not have to evolve at the exact same time to produce a male and a female...

    There are plenty of animals that are capable of reproducing sexually AND asexually (In fact many lower mammals are capable of this). It turns out that sexual reproduction has many advantages however in a pinch there are plenty of Multi-celled lifeforms that can reproduce entirely on their own. Maybe the fact that you limited your viewpoint strictly to the farm is the problem.
