it seemed pretty easy to clean.
We ran cmd to launch taskmgr.exe as the local administrator. Then we were able to kill the processes.
Once that was done, Malwarebytes took care of the infected files. After that was done we had to use a System Restore point from a few days before the infection.
I just installed Kubuntu (Dapper) and I'm loving it. I want to get as far from Windows as possible (Vista looks like $@*# to me). I'm currently dual-booting (Windows XP Pro) and the only reason is because of games. I do my best to buy Linux games (Neverwinter Nights & Unreal Tournament) but I would love to see more developers making native Linux games.
Why is it that the majority of Americans in this country are christian rednecks? It almost makes me want to move to France (if only the believed in execution).
I occasionally work support for our ISP section of the company and let me tell you, Nortons Internet Security is the devil!
We get calls all the time that "my internet doesn't work". Can you ping google.com? What? Directions....etc...etc.
Yes I can ping it.
Are you running a firewall?
A what?
Directions to have them turn Norton Internet Security off...
Internet works!
Now it's partly the endusers problem for not knowing how to use the product but perhaps it's partly Norton's fault for not making it easy enough to use.
As for Firefox...I never get any spyware on my system. I use the Javascript blocking extension along with others and have never had a problem.
Actually I have written to developers asking why they don't produce games playable on Linux and I have NEVER received a response.
I have purchased games that are SUPPOSED to run on Linux and with some screwing around they worked.
I love your excuses for no Linux games..."write the developers"....Lol. Give me a break. Like they listen!
Now this isn't the only reason but the thing that bothers me most about Linux is updating software. Debian looks like it would be easy to update but I wouldn't know becuase I can never get X to work correctly.
The main reason why I don't use Linux on my desktop is GAMES. I'm sure people complain about this all the time. If the game developers would just design games to run on most systems I would be using Linux right now but instead I'm stuck using this piece of shit Windows.
I just resumed converting my cassette taps to MP3s so I can toss them.
I'll never purchase music online for the prices they are asking ($0.99) is a rip-off. Seventeen songs = $17...shit, why not go out and purchase it then.
So..we have a freedom of information act. Why doesn't someone get the names of the people the RIAA has obtained subpoenas against and post them on the internet so they can be warned of any legal actions that will be coming there way. This way people can say.."Hey, I downloaded one of their songs to see if I liked them and then went out and purchased the CD". Then they can show the CD since they would have the same information as the RIAA has. Say John Doe downloads 1 Tool song and it's listed on subpoena. He could then go out and purchase the CD and say in court.."Here it is judge"...see, I purchased it. I just downloaded one song to see if I liked them:-)".
Just a thought.
Why not create P2P software that goes though a proxy or a few of them. These proxies would obviously be used to mask users IP addresses so that they cannot be traced back?
Is it possible to create?
The reason...
More and more governments will start to use it simply to save $$$. When workers are stuck using it for 8 hours a day they will want the same thing on their home computers.
It's that simple.
And the funny thing is...I like the look of KDE more than OSX!
I can agree with what you wrote. I agree that you would need a build up of Gollum as a character.
I always hoped while reading the book that Gollum would overcome the power of the ring for just a moment and realize what it has done to his life. At that point he jumps in.
I thought I saw a glimmer of compasion in Smeagol's eyes in the movie. It's something I also picked up while reading the books.
I think PJ should change the end of ROTK. I know I'm going to get hell for that (and YES I read the fucking books - Silmarillion included).
I think he should make Gollum jump in rather than fall in. Just my 2cp...

Coincidence that the http://www.allot.com/NetEnforcer is from Israel?
The company should just move its location/servers to Cuba.

Well it's about time. Leave it to Micro$oft to be a fews years late as usual. (IDIOTS)
I wouldn't download any of their software (exept for Backup Exec) from Usenet even while using your bandwidth!

It better run on my Athlon 64!
Nicely put SalsaDoom.

Sure the Gimp is a good FREE choice but I don't think it compares to Photoshop. I've used both and Photoshop is my pick, hands down.

I'll 'prise' it from your cold dead finger!

Sweet! Those Cobol classes I had to take over the last two semesters are finally going to pay off!
Nothing competes with it...not even Opera!
Why the Polish...I mean come on...what about us! =)
