Considering that many of the Mozilla devs probably read/. you'd think that they would have added code to work around those issues. I know that they aren't standard but they've added other work-arounds to non-standard html in the past. It's an imperfect world and an imperfect web with imperfect html.
It's funny you hear people complain about Canadian health care all the time. But you hear American complaining about their hospitals too. I find it's a bitch waiting 2 hours to see a doctor but come on. We have 1/10th the population spread out all over the place.
Plus the service varies depending on where you are. In Quebec, you often hear the outrage over what the government allows not what they deny.
Just files my taxes and I paid @ 28% not counting GST (which is put on non-food goods purchased in the store) which I can't quickly estimate. We pay more taxes but we get more. It balances out. If you and anyone in your family never gets sick you obviously win but...
As a Canadian I can't even imagine not getting "free" medical care. It's nice not having to worry about that at least. Sure service may not be as fast as in the US but I suspect that has to do more with population density.
Can you imagine the day when you need two consoles to play a game "fully"? That would be the console makers wet dream. Wait till XBox sales division reads that idea - I'm sure Gates would approve;.
Of course, if I were Sony I would be pratically giving the systems away to get the publicity. Who knows what the NCSA is paying for the units. The only reason to distribute Linux for Playstation is to attract geeks and nerds. This kind of situation gets our attention. How many people who didn't even know about it before having read about it just because of one./ post?
And crap it is. I'm no environmentalist but the last thing we need is more garbage. If they had some recycling plan in place where the DVSs could be returned (even if its not as convenient as a video store) I might consider it. Otherwise it is one of the most obviously wasteful plans I've heard of in recent years. I wouldn't mind collecting 10-20 of them and dropping them off somewhere - it would still be easier than rental but as is I'll never tough it.
According to everyone around here anyway...
They've voted for Bush twice now;-)
Are there any non-Adobe PDF readers for Windows? I can't stand Acrobat.
Does your company have Linux as part of its name? If not then nothing, NOTHING has changed.
Young kids love to pound randomly at the keyboard so they'll be right at home with Perl.

I've been wondering the same thing.
Of course Real offered to license the API first which wouldn't have had this problem but they were turned down.
