Someone once associated with GreenPeace may have bombed an empty building once (that's not terrorism)
What do you call it then, vandalism? And that is better?
Obviouslys a lot of Windows using Republicans have logged onto the forum to spam because of the threat of independent throught and anti-bush material.
I'm not a Rep or a Dem, but they arent spamming, they are trolling. And I'll defend their right to freedom of speech as much as I'll defend yours. Mod points: use em if you got em.
reminds me of a spoof "cigarettes kill" radio joke, modelled after the "drinking and driving ads".
You hear a guy driving, talking to himself "now where did I put my cigs... oh there they are -- on the back seat! hmmf hmmf hmmmf almost... almost..." *tires screeching* *CRASH!*
You didnt even read my comment at the root of this thread.
Some people I know who have the same ISP as me and are not even geeks, and don't even know what Slashdot is, are banned from posting on Slashdot (I discovered after logging on/. with my account on their computer, if you must have this pointed out to you as well).
And they're not my immediate neighbours either.
Besides, I've seen my karma go positive, then negative, and back up positive over time, and it never affected my ability to post (from work and from out-of-town) even after my home connection got banned.

If there is so much methane, why hasnt it ignited yet, from a hot meteor for example?
Can it ignite in the future, from the probe we're about to drop on it?
can they re-aim the probe at another target site?
it'd be better than those knobs, in any case...
or the new Cylons in the Battlestar Galactica pilot?
they eliminated the "fu manchu" klingons at some point too
No one reads "Circuits" in the New York Times?
You better bring along a big cartful of spare batteries for your laptop / portable DVD player.
And after we get Linux on one disk, once each blu-ray DVDr becomes cheap enough, what's to stop us from mailing them all over the place, AOL-style?
Does that mean I'll have to buy another set of Star Wars DVDs, The Blue Ray Edition?
I hope this time Han shoots first.
I've lived in both cities for a number of years.
I prefer Montreal for the vibes, but my friends in Toronto were more interesting.
I'm also bilingual, but you don't have to be -- lots of English-only people live in Montreal too.
I've visited the Maritimes; nice people, but unless you love drinking beer, the nightlife is pretty boring.
Vancouver aint too shabby either. But BC is way overtaxed.
Winnipeg is the coldest in winter, and in the summer is the national mosquito capital.
I currently live in Ottawa, which is less interesting than bigger cities, but at least I'm only a 1.5 hour drive away from Montreal.
And the animal that represents Canada is not on the endangered species list.
Well the Queen is represented in Canada by the Governor General, Adrienne Clarkson.
And she has a pret-ty big expense account (canadaonline.about.com/b/a/067960.htm)
the highest court cannot be overruled.
I still think it'd be interesting to see, as this point of view is not likely to be available to any camera anytime soon after.
Especially if the probe takes photos at level and at angular increments from the plane of the rings.

Voice-Over: "Don't Smoke and Drive"
Because geeks are smart.
Everyday around here, I see a lot of non-geeks parallel-park between two cars, as we call it, "by ear".

I certainly hope you don't manually roll down the passenger side window WHILE DRIVING!
yea but lack of interest in the tools that you use daily is a recipe for disaster.
Actually, canada is an aboriginal word that means village.
so, your sailboat can't actually take photos of Hawaii while it's at the same latitude? (to use your own analogy)
Yea, she was the contact person at a big corporation, where I sent some customer feedback on a product I used to buy.
but laziness is the root of ignorance.
if you're too lazy to inform yourself, you will never find out about the substitutes.
