It is very interesting to see that Cogent only very recently extended their network footprint into the Nordics (Finland, Sweden, Norway), and as such straight into the heart of Telia-land! Until then, Cogent wasn't a major competitor for Telia in these countries. Now I'm a nordic Telia customer myself, but until we have public transparency in something as important as peering arrangements, I'll just have to like my situation.
But I still think that they *should* be allowed to discuss the existence of "Intelligent Design" since being quiet about it only makes the conspiracy theorists rear their heads.
The opinion that the darwinistic view is "only a theory" should be explained at length to students (and possibly some adults too by the look of it) as being a scientific theory, which is quite different from me having random theories about for example hand-knitted socks, a subject I confess to having no real knowledge of and that I haven't scientifically studied.
And using a hand-tuned hosts file can do miracles for a pleasant surfing experience. Like this one: someonewhocares
