The framers of the Constitution and Bill Of Rights did not think it to be "cruel and unusual" to hang people. Why do people today think it is? Why not go back to what was acceptable when the foundations of our nation were laid.
Maybe the companies that rely on open source software will realize that supporting the projects financially is in their best interest instead of freeloading like they do now.
Rand Paul would be different. Romney would be different. Your bigoted argument against aside, the main stream media would have used Snowden to daily attack Romney as a tyrant and forced his hand. There would be Snowden statues in front of every news agency by now.
bigoted
bigtid/
adjective
adjective: bigoted
1. having or revealing an obstinate belief in the superiority of one's own opinions and a prejudiced intolerance of the opinions of others.
How is this bigoted?
While I did not spell it out, I was simply referencing the fact that the CIA likes to hire Mormons because of their missionary experience in overseas countries. In addition, the NSA like the CIA appreciates their experience. Also, with the NSA building their new data center in Utah, I am sure that the vast majority of the hires will be Mormons.
I made no statement against their beliefs. They are free to believe what they wish.
I on the other hand am not afraid to let people know who I am. Why are you hiding behind your posting as an Anonymous Coward?
I have a client (a business) in Montpelier, Vermont who had their residential cable service upgrade to "business" class. I was there while they did the work. While they were still there I checked out their work and found the extra cable modem and WiFi router and asked them about it (this was two additional devices off of a splitter). They informed me that it was part of the Xfinity service to provide a public hotspot. I said great, what is the login credentials so visitors to the office can use it. I was informed that since they were a business they (the client) was not permitted to use it and it was only for other Comcast users. I then proceeded to closet where everything was and unplugged the modem and hotspot and only left the business class modem they left. You could tell that they were pissed but could do nothing about it.
What pissed me off is that the client is paying for the electricity and hosting the device for Comcast and not allowed to use it. To top it all off, the stuck a sticker on the clients front window advertising the hotspot with out asking (this is a law office). Needless to say, I ripped that sticker off the minute I saw it.
Living in Vermont I can tell you that electric prices are not cheap. Too bad the electric companies don't pass the saving to the consumer. In my area, Central Vermont Power was purchased by Green Mountain Power and my power bill went up 50% overnight.
They are by far the best phone company I have every dealt with. They answer the phone on the first ring and will make changes to your phone service while on the phone. I dropped MCI for my long distance after they pissed me off to no end and went to VoIP. I called VTel and had them drop MCI from my account and she made the change while on the phone. I called MCI and told them to drop my account. The lady at MCI asked when I contacted my telephone company and I informed her I just got off the phone with VTel and the did it while on the phone. She argued with me that was impossible. I said then call them. A few minutes later the MCI lady called back and told me she has never seen service like this and I should and I should stick with them. I did as they are very customer oriented and the only other option in town is Comcast.
I had VTel install fiber to my home in November, 2012 and was one the first in the area. There has been some pains in the deployment and it took 2 long years to get it. I finally got it when I saw the installers working on a neighbor's house (her sister works for VTel and is in charge of scheduling the deployment). Talked to the installers and they were at my house later that day:)
Depending on where you do a Speedtest.Net, I have seen 680 down and 750 up.
I live in Springfield, VT and the local telephone company, VTel, started offering Gb fiber to the home for $29.95/month. I guarantee you I pickup the phone first chance I got to find out about it. It tool almost 2 years to get it.
In the end I believe it was false advertising. I only get 550Mb down and 650Mb up but it was better then the 12 Mb down and 2 Mb up for the same price.
I truly believe that the concealed carry gun laws are to thank and more people defending themselves. Criminals now fear being shot by armed citizens. It shows that Brady Campaign is wrong.
If it were the video games, then crime would be falling in Europe and the world too.

While I don't support Obama, Romney would be no different.
Remember, the CIA and the NSA are have a high percentage of Mormons working for them.
And if you think about call centers...
We (the NSA) noticed you tend to to call India and Pakistan quite often...

The high rating is probably due to VTel's Gigabit service.
With the continuing audit process and complete transparency I would trust OpenBSD along with OpenSSH, etc.
I live in Springfield, VT about a mile from VTel.
I do. That is 680 Mbs down and 750 Mbs up.
