way a decent product. When adaptec sold out to Roxio (they SUCK) easy CD began to SUCK also. The latest version is not worth the disc it is burned on....
C'mon is there anyone out there under the age of 35 that DID NOT know this was the way radio stations/record labels operate ?? It is the corporate way and we've grown up with it. That does not make it right but when someone looks suprised by things like this I begin to understand the generation X attitude. Old people are naive and stupid some times.
Our AT&T exploiter's service is soo poor, even my Digital TV pixelizes from 15:00 to 19:30 every night. I've got friends on cable modem that don't even try to get on until after 20:00 in the evening. My DSL is steady all the time.
rocking for 28 months now, with as little as 4% downtime. I've got a static IP and get great thru-put. What I can say is pac-bell's phone support system SUCKS !!!! Hold-times are high, calls are lost, follow-up is VERY RARE. They had DNS problems for 4 days before they could be convinced to look into the issue, luckily I've mapped out their environment nicely and can switch DNS's as the need arises, SF, Sacramento, LA.
I've a luggable ibm PC with the attached keyboard a HUGE 20mb Hard CARD, and orange 8" screen that runs like a champ:)
And the Gem of my collection, an RP06 removable disk drive WITH MAGNET, made into a bar cabinet:)
If you don't know what an RP06 is your too young to drink anyways...
Lack of culture is why we have s HUGE gang problem with kids out seeking an IDENTITY that has been stripped from them by corporate america. While I won't argue differing cultures can produce friction, they also produce the MOST inovations socially, and a hugely diverse and balanced people. All good things in my book.
Though the Scotts' clan may lay claim to the design they've never tried to stop anyone else from using them. This is just plain silly and the Maori are going to look even stupider to the rest of the world. Though I bet they get a lot of support from France and Quebec:)
you don't think the 10,000 tourists the silly rob roy and brave heart movies spawned is not some form of payment ? Neither film crew spent more than 2 weeks in scottland, mostly filmed in Ireland and the states.
just listen to the monotonous nattering of the Frogs. It is so soothing to just sit here on the porch and relax after a long hard day and just listen to the frogs attempt to mate, as they puff themselves up with self importance so that their plaintive call can travel farther in the night, on the off chance that the very rare hairy lady frog will hear and come hopping over:)
and since we are NEVER gonna get a M$IE for LINUX (pause to wait for laughter and choking to stop)
I would have to agree with Stevo. It is well with M$'s PAST behavior to attempt to 'lock' out a competitor. The question is can 'we' make a Linux browser that meets the encryption standards that are required ? If that can be done and IT still is refused then there is a possible sherman act violation.
may be the exception there:) It WAS a good movie, Star Wars was a movie 1st I think, Indiana
Jones was the same way and I'll not EVEN touch MichaelAngelo and company:)
I'd like a new 50" HDTV but can't swing the cost, so I'll jst deal with blurry Crap. I agree with your estimation of TV resolution but it is amazing how I never noticed it until I saw an HDTV:)
agreed, sub-titles in the theatre or on a wide-screen seem to be less of a problem that on my hmoe tube. I guess I need to splurge for a larger wide screen TV:)
My grandmother DOES not pretend to know how to use a PC, whatever OS it is sporting, but she can fire up win98 and get an email off on a M$ system. I am sure if I WAS MORE of a LINUX guy I could make it easy enough for her to do it there also, but the point is I did not have to. Whether it 'pretends' to be easier or not IT IS. That said, I'd love to switch her to a NON-M$ OS, if someone could point me to a email reference site. The machine has to be useable by a 71 year old woman from OK:)
The page states that a MAC is fine also you just need to have MSIE, but I think it is more an encryption thing than anything else. This is another Half Baked/. story

How did they get credit for someone else's work ??? I've seen this demo before...

regarding DB's and the accumulation of data is shortsighted and WRONG :)
:)
BTW nice web page
So shrink wrap it as software and add a heinous EULA, then you can sue the FBI for violating DMCA and de-crypting your 'software'
so I'll delete the tags and play the MP3's randomly :)
may Ted Turner ROT in hell.

...that did NOT SUCK ???? I hope this one doesn't but I'll catch it on DVD.
yes about 8 pages of CRAP that one would need a lawyer to interpret.
yes it is unless you specify the count :)
