Great to know that I could have a pediphile living right down the street from me who only served 10 months in jail yet if Lucas loses some scratch and the same dude wouldn't be there for the next 10 years.
Hillary for President in 2008!
This has been a long winded argument and rears its head every now and again. Being a gamer since the age of 10 and I am now 34 I have to add my 2 cents. I DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT play games simply because they are visually are stunning. I can download the latest version of 3d mark for that. Look at the game of chess, for example, nothing has been done to improve it other than changing the pawns to pretty civil war figurines for a mere 4 easy payments of $19.95. Yet the game continues to be fun. Genres will not go away. You will always have killer FPS or killer RPG games, killer tactical games like civilization etc.., The characters may change and get prettier over time but the general concept is there. Maybe what he means is that there is a lack of new 'genres' But MMORPG's are fairly new for that matter. By they way, I cannot get enough WoW and it runs fine on my laptop and the graphics are not 'stellar' by any means. The game is just simply FUN. And that my friends is what I will spend my hard-earned cash on!:)
I would switch to Linux in a heartbeat. But I play games so I am destined to use Windows forever or until game companys start writing games to support Linux. This is the final straw for me and I may just keep two boxes, one for games the other for serious computing.
You are right on the money...Drinking lots of coffee first thing in the morning usually helps me quite a bit. I am also better if I am physically tired after excersise. The internet is my best friend, talk about hyper-stimulation, I can switch between 5 pages at a time on 5 different topics and people think i am nuts but i find it easy. I honestly think that is why I gravitated to a IT career.
This is going to sound really crazy but I dealt with ADHD (Still do) all of my life and the most dramatic change in my life was college when I experimented with drugs. I took acid 3 times in one year. The final trip was a LOOONG and HARD trip that went on for what seemed to be a lifetime. I noticed a huge change in my personality and in my way of thinking about things, I wasn't in a fog anymore. Before dropping acid I couldnt focus on ANYTHING. I did really bad at school and my mind was always cluttered. For some strange reason after that one year of experimental drugs I noticed that I could cope more with ADHD. This is no joke. I am not telling people to go out and drop acid but I can only look back on my life and tell people about my experiences. Maybe it wasn't even the acid but it was opening my mind or maybe even a coming of age that was shadowed by the drugs. I am interested to know if anyone else with ADHD had similar life-changing results after experimenting with LSD.
Why should I pay for lower income families? They can surf their pr0n at the library, my cable already runs me $50 per month which I can barely afford with 2 kids...I paid $100 per month before the days of broadband to get ISDN...If they want it they will find a way to afford it! What next? I have to buy the computer they use to surf on too?!
/sarcasm Now I get to support home users office crashes plus keep up with "Software Agression err Advantage." for home users too! Thanks M$!
Can we install the Office version for OSX for home users with Mac's for free as well?
