I hope they do go to court and i hope they have people like us on the jury. Its about time the RIAA stop extorting money and actually try to rework their business model. The thing with the riaa is we dont need them any more. In this day in age we have digital recording studios at home. They are like vicious animals trying to stay alive. Their actions show their desperation.

Ill start off and say i have played MMOs since 1998 when eq1 came out.. In 2000 i had a dev house that made a MMORPG up to playable alpha 2 then we got shelved (go to the internet archive and look up age of darkness mmorpg). I have to say i played em all. I hate WOW it is the worst game ever... I just cant stand it.. Its lets take all the good parts of a mmo and then lets watter them down till there is no challenge or fun. lets mix it with crappy graphics an appeal to 12 year olds.

eq2 was nice but not what i expected.
    vanguard was a flop.

But if your looking for a good mmo at this time i have to say
    Lord of the rings online
It is fairly decent. It has its downfalls but its a darn good game. The play is nice the graphics rock and i personally love the Tolken world and Lore.

But even if you dont its still a darn good game to play.

If anyone wants a trial you can find a subscriber and they can giev you a 10 day. i have only 3 invites left.

The future is DRM Free. When it comes to people when they buy something they want to be able to do what ever they want with it. cause the bought it not "Leased", "rented", "Borrowed".

DRM is just as bad as MALWARE and in some cases it literally is "Eg. Sony".

Unfortunately its hard to get a bunch of people motivated to boycot or not use something to show the corps that we wont stand for it, when it is the only thing we have. But when an alternitive comes out like this people will flock to it and show them what we really want.

One downside is their support is lacking. Upgrading though was a simple thing also. But still if its of high imporntance i would go through Rackspace. They offer top tier support. Their guys can assist with anything for a price and their network is the most stable ive seen. Their backup solutions rock they have private net which you can cluster on non net accesable ip's (for free xfer between servers). So if its business class id do rackspace. If its personal or small business witha budget id do ev1 servers aka the planet.
