    A man my age telling girls that they're pretty is a quick way to get myself labeled a perv.

    Besides, if a girl's not pretty, I wouldn't say she's pretty.

    And I wouldn't know she's smart w/o spending some time with her, and that's just as creepy.

    Because if there are hostages, the hostage takers may very well start shooting people if they see a cop nosing around because they know the swat team will be next.

    Sigh.

    Having the SWAT team drive up and charge in blind is not standard police procedure. They reconnoiter and then negotiate.

    If it's something like a bomb threat of a hostage taking with weapons you don't really have much choice. It's clear the area ASAP.

    Just because you want to charge in with guns blazing doesn't mean that I don't want to peek around a bit first.

    People don't call in a SWAT saying. "I''m having bad day and I'm slowly filling my house with water till I drown.

    No, but they do call in pranks. Or are mistaken. If you don't believe me, google "child porn wrong house".

    the fact remains that wearing masks in public is illegal in many places.

    And darned few people were upset that such ordinances were passed.

    IMNSHO, the bottom line is that too few people want the actual responsibility of actually living in a free society. A large population, a too-low need for employment plus two undereducated, angry and rightly aggrieved minorities bears that out, I think.

    Looking back through history, it was people who were willing to sacrifice their safety who gained and protected our freedoms.

    Sadly, looking back through history, there have been just as many -- if not more -- willing to sacrifice their safety so as to illegally take other people's stuff.

    First do research as to why wearing masks is illegal in many US states, and then spout your opinions.

    Someone's too stupid to know that the phrase replace ... with terminals means that there's no dropping off card decks at the dutch door, and no picking up printouts, because... they display on the terminal.

    OP writing And that a vastly superior military (that would be the US military) means nothing when headed by a weakling. pretty much indicates that he doesn't see the US being a threat to Russia.

    Besides, the two cardinal rules of would-be military invaders are:
    (1) Do not invade the Chinese mainland.
    (2) Do not invade Russia.
