    I'd say it's a problem of Feedreaders instead of RSS itself. You could write the say for email: some can send a HTML email with script tag inside. Problem is the execution of this script in clients environment. If a restaurant pours gasoline into someones bottle of a cola - it's hardly a cola problem....

    the manufacturers still have a choice. Pay MS, or turn away from them using another filsystems. This -in a long term run, might cause problems to MS. They'll have their FS, but will have to pay to implement the support for other FS, since no devices would work for MS as a standard. Well dome MS - so much for cutting the tree you're sitting on.

    Anyone who publishes and copyrights software has to display its source code. Otherwise it puts all other software companies at risk of violating their rights without even knowing it. How should I know this code was written two years before I wrote it, when I can not see it?

    That would work if our governments were interested in development and democratic improvements rather than maintaining status quo so key business can make as much $ as possible. Activities like OpenSource endanger this status quo.
