    Riiight, there is no way IBM could develop and mantain an OS. Like AIX, or OS/2, or z/OS, z/VM, z/TPS. or OS/400, etc.

    Other possible step: Open source developers sue (with the help of the EFF), and Big companies pay big money instead of stoping distribution or GPLing their code (that's what they paid the insurance for).

    In the end: Open source project has lots of money for hiring full time developers, bug chasing competition, etc.

    Of course, I'm being optimistic, but who knows...

    No way. In basque, a language spoken in a region in Spain, the order is from largest to smallest, which makes more sense. You start with the most general info (the year) and go to the specific (the day, or even the minutes).

    And it's much better for sorting, so my backup files are whatever_20051021.tgz, just sorted by date.

    Great!! that's what I was looking for!

    My work laptop has win2k with NTFS. Now, I'll be able to make a big file (1GB?), and using this driver, mount it in loopback as an ext2 filesystem, so I can write to disk when using Knoppix.
