Ok, I have a question. My ISP uses bash and when you tab complete stuff it automagically encloses it in double quotes. But when I tab complete on my own box it just does the old insert\ back\ slashes which is kind of lame.
So, I figure it must be some sort of option I can change in bashrc or something but I don't know what needs to be changed or added for this to occur.
actually, in my scenario 2.4.20 cfdisk reports/dev/hg1 as ext2 and/dev/hdg2 as ext3 BUT under 2.6 it reports BOTH as EZ Drive (55). I can still mount/dev/hdg1 as ext2. ??
I changed it from EZ Drive (55) to Linux (83) and it reported/dev/hdg1 as ext2 and/dev/hdg2 as simply Linux.
Booting to 2.4 after the change and now/dev/hdg2 cannot be mounted under 2.4.20 either:/
I switched back to 2.6 and ran cfdisk changing the partitions back to EZ Drive (55). Back in 2.4.20 cfdisk reports/dev/hdg1 as ext2 and/dev/hdg2 as ext3. The drive mountes normally.
I am having a similiar issue. I have three hard drives, a dvd rom and a cd rom. Under 2.4.18, 2.4.20, 2.5.59 everything worked wonderfully... under 2.6test3 it won't mount/dev/hdg... it says it can't read the ext3 filesystem. But if I drop back to 2.5.59 and earlier it will mount the drive just fine at boot time. All of the kernels were compiled with the exact same options for ide, raid and what have you.
Actually, I can mount hdg1 under 2.6 which is formatted as ext2. BUT, I cannot mount hdg2 which is ext3. The odd thing is...hda and hdb are ext3 as well and 2.6 doesn't have a problem with those drives.
If that were the case then why would they send threatening letters to those who have compiled Linux on x86 and alpha? Also--there's no mention of sequent or anything here and the comments indicate that the work is based on...

I believe stuff must be some sort of technical term. Better question...why do they keep changing their story with each press release? Who will be the Mark Furhman of this case? Will the glove fit?????
Holy FUD, Batman! Tune in next week^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Htomorrow. Same SCO time. Same SCO channel.
Sure, an album could be argued to be art. But let me interpret that art as I choose. If I wish to view Edouard Manet's paintings with 3D glasses on I am certainly free to do so. Am I viewing the work of art as Manet intended? Probably not. Yet I am viewing it. Maybe I'm getting something out of it.
What's next with these stupid artists?? Special CDs that will ONLY play in the order they specify? You MUST listen to tracks 1-14 in order or the CD won't play?
pfffft!
I'm sure Madonna is classified as some sort of art. Now, I may not think much of her style of art. I downloaded a track--"what the fuck do you think you're doing?"--I'm sorry--that's just juvenile. I am sure that there are some people who "get" this kind of art but truly it is lost on me.
i look forward to people figuring out stuff related to the gamecube.
just think of the possibilities if you could hack zelda wind waker. why did nintendo make it so you cannot skip through stupid conversations and pointless cut scenes? why does the game tell you how to use treasure maps, keys and the like every time you collect one? like we haven't figured that out after collecting 40 treasure chests and countless keys!!
you could fix all these annoyances and more. that's the beauty of it all. i love roms and emulators and being able to change the game to how i would like it. of course, that's a loooooooooooong way off with the game cube.
i would totally download zelda if i didn't have a way to get the data from my game cube directly.

Of course not! I didn't even RTFA! Besides, as a bone-uh-fide-e member of /. I am a big fan of the dupes.

Wow, did CmdrTaco do a search for any prior art before posting this? Maybe he should get a job down at the USPTO.
"Wow! Doesn't look like anybody has ever implemented this article before. Approved."
Or maybe he's just trying to set a new record.
