    For us running Cygwin that's hardly a motive to transit to Windows 10.

    Not always more features, those running Media Center Edition are gravely hosed.

    Microsoft OS upgrades have rarely worked well, a fresh install is usually a lot better and more stable.

    Uploading files to the cloud - so that everyone can grab them as soon as the cloud service is hacked.

    There are always the torrent/cracked version of Windows 7 that you can resort to.

    I would really like to inject false information into the telemetry instead, wild and crazy enough to mess up things completely and render the telemetry useless.

    Or road signs - seems to me that my definition of what a road sign is and what Google thinks is a road sign differs.

    At some point in time they did have a link where to report bad images, but I'm not sure if it's still there. If it is, then report all you see that are inconclusive.

    However what Oracle wants is to also close the interfaces in order to ensure a completely walled garden solution.

    They will in the coming years look into creating a cloud based service that doesn't have any public interfaces to ensure that they own everything in that garden including your data.

    Cobol is used in many major systems by many government agencies and also many major corporations in various sectors.

    The big problem with Cobol is that it's expensive to run and maintain, but the corporations are locked in by vendors and a huge non-portable codebase.

    Upgrades seldom works well, fresh installations are usually a lot better.

    Well, considering the fact that a large number of function calls to the OS weren't implemented it was hard to develop anything advanced.

    Well, Microsoft committed suicide by the bad Windows Phone 6.x version. It may have been reasonably stable but it was not easy to make advanced apps for it.

    Most of those pathogens aren't bad for you, they just strengthen your immune system.

    But city dwellers have more problemsmwith the smell.

    Then you look in the wrong shops. Many socks can be washed hotter than what's listed.

    Even though it appears environmentally friendly to wash the underwear in a low temperature with detergent designed for it that doesn't mean that it solves all problems. Especially fungal spores may reside in the fabric after a low temperature wash, while washing in 60 degrees Celsius or higher will kill them.

    I know this from personal experience - changing the washing temperature to a higher temperature helped me to get rid of the fungal infections I repeatedly had on my feet.

    So if you suffer from repeated fungal or bacterial problems, try raising the washing temperature.

    But you can use material that transits from one state to another at the temperature that you prefer. Like going from solid to liquid or liquid to gas.
