The most "unfunny" part of bus rides is that they often goes in a zig-zag pattern all over the city between origin and destination causing the average speed to be slower than a bicycle, albeit usually not as sweat-driving as a bicycle ride.
Buses and trams are good for short rides, subways are good within a city including suburbs while trains are when you are reaching further away to more distant parts.
The key part is to keep public transportation competitive with cars, but the catch is that politicians now have figured out that if we make car use more cumbersome without improving the public transport system then more people will use public transports. But that's not necessarily true, it would just make people despise politicians even more.
The hop-on, hop-off style is an interesting method, and works for normal healthy people but not for people with disability, children or elderly people. However I don't rule it out completely because having variation in transport modes would make the transportation more efficient, even if disabled people may feel discriminated. Just make sure that those that may suffer a discrimination because they are unable to do the hop-on, hop-off get other advantages instead.
I didn't state not sign, I was considering to re-write contract and then send in the re-written contract signed. Sneaky but might work unless the provider proof-reads the contract.
Fist question should be - do this state have bad politicians and complicated laws?
Whenever you consider running a company it's not only about which state that have the lowest taxes but also how much paperwork that's involved in running it. It's easier to pay a bit more in taxes than to have to fight paperwork every day.
As a keyfile - use a text that is present in many copies over the internet. Only you know the actual text and length of it to be used as a key. That way you will never actually lose your key.
Even signals below the noise are detectable since any signal will raise the noise level somewhat. So if the noise level is higher at a specific direction for no natural reason occams razor would give that it's something there. And since it's now known that a radar technology exists with this kind of pattern it is detectable. It may take some time to detect it, but it's not impossible.
Any kind of radiation is detectable so even if the signal isn't clear it may still be detectable. However it may be harder to find the source of the signal if it's obfuscated.
I predict that it won't take long until this attempt at evasion is foiled.
I was considering personal experience, so citation is hard to apply in this case.
Ever considered that the reason to have the second amendment and guns is just a decoy to use in order to undercut the freedom in other areas? You get blinded by the light of that you get the perceived freedom to possess a gun.
Also realize that in order for the 100 million guns to be useful you need coordination and communication. Without that there will be no revolution. That's why the government fears freely available encryption - they can't listen in to daily conversations and coordination efforts.
With a sufficient amount of information and communication the guns aren't even necessary, just find the weak spots in the government and apply an action to them in a coordinated manner to topple it.
I suggest that you take a trip around the world first and then see.
The amount of actual control enforced that I have experienced was the worst was in the US, "public servants" attempting to control your whereabouts was the highest in the US - in an impolite manner.
So US citizens are in the western world graded a lot higher on the rank of being subjects than they imagine themselves.
Only freedom you have is to be shot first and questions asked later whenever you show up with a gun in public. The second amendment is worthless these days when a SWAT team is called in first, possibly also covered by additional forces as soon as someone sees a gun in public where it's not expected.
Well, you should have both ammunition control and gun control. The second amendment is outdated by now considering the amount of firepower that SWAT and Secret Service teams packs, any group of citizens will lose by default.
- Need to provide a valid license when you buy ammunition.
- Weapons must not be stored loaded and shall be stored in a safe manner. (The statement that every gun shall be treated as loaded is crap because it won't work on kids, animals or morons)
- When carrying a gun it shall be safety on and if possible in a holster for the purpose, not floating around in the car.
- Ammunition and gun shall be stored separately.
- Illegal possession of a gun (No license) should be penalized with prison time.
- Armed robbery with firearm should be at least 20 years in prison, a second offense lifetime. Escape and offense - capital.
- Failure to check license selling ammunition or gun and you would lose your business.
- Minimum weight of a gun sold to the public: 3kg (That would keep morons from hauling around the guns just for fun)
- Full track of guns manufactured, any gun encountered that isn't registered in tracking register shall be destroyed. Antiques may be excluded.
And now we can't be sure if the patch is actually fixing an exploit or if it's something that's pushed on us for the convenience of Microsoft.
The trust in Microsoft that they actually don't do anything nasty that may break our systems is gone now. Instead they push in an upgrade to a new OS version that may break our applications and either they stop working or Microsoft decides that the application you use works unreliably and uninstalls it even if it works well for you.
With the broken trust people are now starting to be willing to stand on their own and take their chances in the world.

Some stuff in contracts may not have any legal grounds and therefore can't be dictated there. What's legal or not depends on where you live.
For a business it can actually be worth the money to have a lawyer in the long run to avoid getting a complete rip-off.
Don't sign anything unless you have had a lawyer checking it for you.
And a trick could be to scan the contract before signing and re-write the wording slightly so that you can bail out quickly.
A lot of contracts are written in a way that are not far from slavery contracts.
Sorry, no water in California, all you can get is sand. No bread.

Considering that it's aged - don't rule out aging wire insulation that no longer does its job.

Rethink?
See "Demolition Man".
It's the legal bodies that will like this most since now they can cripple our cars remotely.
You will anyway.
And you are cursed regardless of choice.

That's why I have disabled Windows Update now. I don't trust it anymore.

If that's the case - how shall I get back from work, especially if I have a flexible working schedule?
Most likely it depends on which block rules that you use, not the AdBlock plug-in itself.
Robbery using a firearm - 20 years first time, lifetime second. Escape any of the terms and rob again - capital.

I have two, you can pry them from my cold dead hands.

Changes like this means that we no longer will trust Microsoft and disabling Windows Update may be the only reliable option.
As long as I need Windows for some VPN stuff I'm stuck.
