While I agree that the prequels were crap I think that yoda fighting was brilliant. I liked the way he did the gunslinger bit before the fight when he pulled back his coat and drew his lightsabre with the force. The coolest part was after the fight when he got his stick and started shuffling off like usual, after seeing what he was capable of it showed how modest he was.
I've long held the opinion that virtual actors are the future of Hollywood. Why pay for a high-priced actor when we can whip them up online?
Actors are still used to make the characters realistic. Pixar have a good technique of getting two good actors together and filming them as they act out their parts face to face. This means that the animators get the actors' voices, gestures, body language and facial expressions. All of these are used to animate the characters and the results are amazing. Billy Crystal and John Goodman played the two main characters in monsters inc and it really brought the characters to life.
The benefit of this is that the actors looks become irrelevant. I often get the impression that Hollywood hires actors and actresses based on their looks not their acting ability. Imagine how good films could be if actors were chosen purely on their acting abilities, not their looks or age.
you can only legally steal domain names if you're a bunch of Tree huggin' hippies
Surely that sound have read "you can only legally take back domain names that were hijacked by steroid abusing circus clowns if you're a bunch of Tree huggin' hippies"
Downloading and installing the mp3 module for xmms isn't problem for most of us, but it might be for newbies. I'd like to make a custom installation cd with mp3 support included. Firebird as the default browser wouldn't be a bad thing either.
She said if linux is so much better than windows how come nothing works on linux or if it actually does work its only after I come over and fuck with the box for 2 hours.
I think redhat shifting it's emphasis to corporate users may not necessarily be a bad thing.
A lot of people want windows on their home pc because it's what they learnt at school and what they use at work. If redhat becomes a major player in the business world then school will start teaching students how to use it and office workers will learn how to use it. Once your kids know redhat from school and you are familiar with it from work, the chances are you will want it on your home pc.
I'm glad redhat are concentrating all their efforts on the office, it may be our best hope of introducing linux to the masses.
Interesting point. OSS may be a new concept, but maybe that's because software hasn't been around that long.
It has happened in other technologies though. I'm a blacksmith and I have experienced a similar situation. Throughout history blacksmiths have kept their techniques and skills a closely guarded secret, but now there is a strong global blacksmithing community based on sharing information and techniques. There are probably similar stories in other trades.
And of course the Japaneese didn't kill *any* civilians during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Let me give you a hint; if they had a bomb, they would have dropped it on Pearl Harbor to *start* the war, not end it.
Action - The japanese kill some american civilians at pearl harbour. Reaction - Americans kill japanese civilians at hiroshima and nagasaki. Result - Not terrorism
Action - The americans kill arab civilians in the first gulf war. Reaction - Arabs kill american civilians at the trade centre. Result - Terrorism.
Either I'm missing something or there are some double standards here.
"We are the kinights who say NIX"
I haven't seen Samurai Jack but Dexter and the powerpuff girls kick ass! I started watching them because my daughter likes them and I got hooked.

Monsters Inc was an example of how it should be done, it had a good plot and the characters were given life by two great actors.
Loverboy were wrong. Southpark proved it.

"Tohught" is, strictly speaking, past tense.
Some bright spark got there first.
quod erad demonstrandum = which was to be proved.

Don't panic.
They did leave Matrix open for a sequel, but I don't believe for a second that it was originally written as a trilogy.
Did she actually use the expression "fuck with"?

The first single I bought was Ace of Spades by Motorhead, on vinyl. I feel old.
Saying you were smitten by god sounds weak. How about saying god put the smack down.
more tea vicar?
The hops/cannabis idea has it's good point too. You could make beer from the hops....Cannabeer.
Exactly what I was thinking, except I had come up with the name Tommanabis.
...or sprinkle cocaine on their bran flakes!
