Coming soon on Slashdot: How evil closed-source MS software was used to run German concentration camps in WWII.

Yes. This means that computer games are banned in Vietnam or what?

You should've known better than try to post something like that on slashdot.
You should have said:

- 2003-10-23 20:40:24 Windows XP Eats CD-ROM Drives On Install

And then add a reply saying:

IMPORTANT!!!: It happened with Mandrake, not XP! I just said XP so it wouldn't get rejected!

This move isn't surprising to me, because I'd expect the movie industry to use the latest Standard once it became mature.

That is bollocks. Because MPEG-4 came after MPEG-2 doesn't mean it's better quality-wise. It's a standard with different targets. MPEG-4 is used for high compression, MPEG-2 for high quality. Yes, MPEG-4 codecs do the job very well, but nothing MPEG-4 can reach MPEG-2 (yet).

What the fuck are you talking about? Don't you have a Constitution over there in the US? I guess it says slavery (and lots of other stuff) is not allowed. No matter what the majority wants.

Isn't this pretty much what everyone wants? If someone stabs someone else to death with a knife, you don't go after the knife maker (P2P software) you go after the murderer (copyright violator).

Granted, but what happens if the knife has a label that reads "Kill him!" with all the pertinent information?

8. Re:seems legitimate to me on RIAA To Sue Hundreds Of File Swappers · · Score: 1

Are you telling us that this has ever happened?

Maybe it has, so the RIAA should be sued once and they should sue 10^5 times.
