    Parliament traditionally did not allow photos or filming. When they allowed that in, they said "you can film us under certain conditions, including conditions about the dignity of Parliament" (yeah right). However if anyone thinks that the fact that media cannot make satirical use film of parliamentarians misbehaving implies that satire is dead in NZ they are wrong.     My family went to Brisbane for a holiday in 1973, and Coronation Street was behind even what we were seeing in New Zealand.

    Don't forget this bill also legitimises the age old practice of placing your cd's onto your mp3 player, which is currently illegal here.

    I certainly have noticed a large number of christians in my local Linux Users Group. Someone posted a question on the list about software for some religious purpose (hymns dissemination contrary to the wishes of the RIAA? congregation monitoring? can't remember really) and they all came out of the woodwork. I was surprised about the number of active church goers. Perhaps I am just jaundiced by boarding school forcing me to go to church, but in my "other than geek" life I know no one who goes to church!
