With all the new graphic engines you can see in games such as Doom 3 and Half Life 2, no wonder freshmen are losing interest in old school Counterstrike...
We have installed FogBugz a couple of month ago on a Win2K server, it took us the whole of an hour to set up and create the accounts for everyone. It's very simple to use (even more so that Bugzilla IMHO), and has really helped us streamline the QA process...
Maybe you should look into it instead of Bugzilla. And although it isn't free, it's not exactly expensive either.

Since you are using a ridiculously little part of all the storage space you have available at anytime in your life.
The cool thing, would be to have an electronic device that could strenghten a give synaptic path, allowing you to "refresh" your memory at will, and not forget important things.
(like read the whole C++ W/ libraries reference once and then refresh this everynight)
Or, for a more software interpretation, it's a function that takes a bunch of boolean parameters and returns a boolean.
Anyone who's ever done any programmation or computer architecture should see why you can easily process anything with this.
I work in Europe. Delphi is far more widely used here, because it's taught in several universities.
"because they were DESIGNED to be glue and C++ was designed to be the bricks and mortar."
Can I translate that as : businesses don't need/want to reinvent the wheel every time they have a problem to solve ?:) I know once you have a good code base in the house it's not so bad, but most small or middle sized businesses most likely won't ever have the time to get that.
But some people tend to faint when you tell them you coded a DB front end application in VB, and tell you how C++ is superior.
All I'm saying is that if C++ wants to be the end-all-be-all of programmation, it seriously lacks in that department.
If you stick to real time programming, C++ seems very good indeed.
Is get all the features that made VB and Delphi stomp on it on most critical entreprise projects : easier and better RAD IDE, more component libraries and other utilities widely available to the developper (and well documented).
Wait, isn't that C# without the extra overhead ?
My guess would be that the good programming langage wouldn't be the one with no safe net (C++) or the one with safe nets that cripple the performance (C#), but the one where you can choose the degree of safety you need, and can play with it at will.
But believe me, some things were so bad that I really wanted to throw the game away and never touch it again after only 3 hours.
That tells you how extreme it is !
Once again, some people (hardcore gamers and SW fans mostly) may like it.
This is the very same as Everquest, with the same disadvantages (repetitive actions, huge timesinks) it had at launch, the same kind of community handling (*we* decide what is in *our* game and how you should play it) -- only better graphics, and the swords are now laser enhanced.
I lasted about 3 hours in the beta before uninstalling it.
Those who coped with that in EQ will prolly love it though.
Now I know where I'm moving when internet access gets regulated / taxed / banned where I live.
Broadband access as a right and gorgeous women, what more do we need ?:)

Who'll be the first to upload a linux distro into the brain of an actual pinguin.
Evolution is to bruteforcing what dichotomy is to random guessing.

From CRN
/. had been around for a while. Time must not pass as quick as it seems to me.
:)
"Programmers on Slashdot.org, a new site on the Sourceforge.net open source development site"
A new site ? Oh, and I thought
Hope they meant a news site.
And by the way, if you're not a programmer, go away, it's a place for programmers here, or so it seems.

9% of attendees learned something from the expo. :)
