  1. Anyone tried Lingo? on How Do You Make International Calls? · · Score: 0

I use the VoIP service from lingo http://www.lingo.com/ (a British TelCom co) and I get unlimited US, Canada, Mexico and Western Europe. Quality is good and I even get Voice Mails delivered as .wav files to my e-mail. For $20 a month on the unlimited plan I can make a HELLA lot of calls and it works with a dialup modem too (and I get full 53K speed (don't ask what I do on a modem over VoIP)). They send you a small adapter that plugs into your broadband and has an analog jack in the back - I ran it to a 66 block and distributed it through my house!

Of course, the fact that "They Killed Ken(ny)" is a pop culture refrence seems to have shot over your head like an ill fated Genesis Capsule on it's way to disaster in Utah. Hmmm... The Genesis Capsule crashed in Utah... Ken Jennings is from Utah and is a Mormon... Kenny from South Park was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, one of which is a former Mormon... It all makes sense! The subject did not appear in the title so as to intrigue people into reading 3 lines of text! Gosh, on my broadband connection that took almost 3 seconds to open!

I don't think so... I live in Salt Lake City - hardly known for being progressive or open minded - and this link can show that we've had this going on for the last 10 months or so: I see these people every evening as I ride my $300 mountain bike home... It's a lot cheaper than the Segway, but the cool factor definately ain't there....

  5. Re:Don't go cheap - go for quality, or get headach on Suggestions for Reliable Touch Screen Displays? · · Score: 1

Having supported Touch Screens on Cruise ships for 5 years (both employee and General Public) we used Elo TOuchscreens and found them to very reliable and they hold their calibration very well. e also used POS terminals by PAR that had the computer and the touchscreen integrated and they were good machines. The touchscreens were good quality, but the access to the cables and such was definately not for public consumption. I'd reccomend the Elo touchscreens overall because they are robust, easy to use (USB) and have a nice software interface for auto-calibration. --Jason
