If they do, I'll be rich.. seeing as I happen to own a considerable number of shares in LNUX..
This is gonna be an interesting thing to watch .. maybe Microsoft will start licensing their OS and packages like RedHat does.. get the software free, buy a subscription for support...

You got my vote.. it's downright PAINFUL to read. I'm only just beginning to learn Spanish, and reading Spanish is easier than trying to read that .. uhh.. "English" Honestly, for all the people I meet in my life, some of whom are amazingly intelligent, their inability to spell correctly is shocking. Must have spent the greater portion of their english class flicking boogers on the back of Susie's head. I mean the guy has a valid point, and I agree with the opinion, so I'd mod it interesting, yeah, but if they had a "Go Back To English Class, Idiot" category for mods, I'm sure it would score a +5

Yep!. I was a walk-in customer. I looked at their in-store ad over a CD-RW drive.. ($54.95, $19.95 after rebate) and went through checkout.. when I asked for rebate coupon to fill out, I was then told "Oh, that's only if you buy online"

Yesterday I was going to order a memory upgrade online.. not a bad price at all (256 MB) for one of my boxes..

Got all the way through to checkout then decided I would check shipping.. (they dont display it unless you specificaly check it) I live a mile from the TigerDirect store in Miami and UPS shipping for a measly 2 ounce Memory card was something like 12 BUCKS!!??

    Gimme a break!

Yeah I think I'll do my online shopping elsewhere, thank you, and only go to the Tiger store for "emergency" needs..

In my work when I talk about brackets I generally mean [], curlies or braces = {} parens = ()... although I usually DO refer to the '' as angle brackets or tags (php function strip_tags() refers to them as tags also)

I agree on this one.. for example, I use a unique password based on a 17-digit Vehicle Identification number for a vehicle that is no longer registered (long since processed through the scrapyard) and the ONLY place it is used is on this single system, and only via SSH2 connection... so I'm reasonably confident (not 100%) that nobody is gonna hack my root...:)

anyone who would use an easily remembered password for root or administrator logins definitely deserves to be hacked.

Ive been a mechanic for 20 years, and in the next few days I am hoping for good news... but to answer, I'd suggest strongly to finish college first and take some interesting electives. I do PHP/MYSQL development work in my spare time at sourceforge and for pay, and it isnt always all it's cracked up to be. I love the work and hope to find a paying job doing exactly that line of work, but I sure do wish I had listened to my parents and teachers who wanted me to go to college way back in 1986 when I could have gone and gotten my Master's degree in Computer Science and be retired by now after taking advantage of the dot-com bubble... (I tend to be one of those cheap tightwads who would rather save than spend), so by now I'd be living off the interest of my $10 million worth of stock options that I would have cashed in at the first sign of trouble... but then again, hindsight is 20/20 (unless you got your head up your ass, then you're blind as a bat)

Umm, ok, since I use firefox with the magpie extension, by your assumption/definition, Im a porno addict...

Hmmm Interesting.. I havent seen a naked lady anywhere except in my shower in a long long time..

I happen to make extensive use of magpie to browse my way through numerous screen shots of website templates and graphics artwork, looking for the next great image for my new open-source GPL project.. which, by the way has absolutely NOTHING to do with porn in any way shape or form.

If it wasnt for Magpie, I'd be using (GASP!) Internet Exploder 6.0 with it's handy-dandy "save this image" button that automatically pops up when you mouseover an image.. Talk about supporting the download and saving of porn materials... no more "right click, save as, select folder and save" , but instead, just hit that little floppy disk icon Microsoft so brilliantly thought to provide when you hover your mouse pointer over an image...

Oh yeah that's right.. Porno freaks don't like I.E. 6.0 because they can't link images... Why link em when you can save em?

I have to agree fully with those who would label you as a Troll..
If you are gonna bash Mozilla's support of MagPie extension, It would seem fair that you also bash Microsoft's support/creation/deployment of similar "handy-dandy" image handling features..

Or, are you just being paid by Bill Gates to bash a nice new feature that Microsnot doesnt yet have anything to compete with??

Wanna Trade?? Im an automotive mechianic with an overwhelming desire to get into the IT/Programming/Security field... Being a car tech ain't all it's cracked up to be.. Sure we're "officially" paid $18 an hour, but we work near to 60 hours a week in a physically demanding career field, you should see my hands and arms. sharp little bolts, very tight spaces you have to fit into, knuckles ripped to shreds , burns from hot exhaust manifolds, and for all of that, if the shop is SLOW, I might take home $200 on a slow week... cause we only get paid the hours of labor we actually SELL.. (work 60 hours, and get in maybe 5 cars to work on 2 hours per car- you get paid 10 hours labor = $180 gross wage for that week...)

now are you SURE you wanna be an auto mechanic???

if so, contact me and I'll trade my job for your job faster than you can download a 1K webpage on OC1 fiber.
