    The German Goverment has to think about relationship with it current vendors.
    It was premature of releasing that document if they really wanted to go with an OSS
    (not only linux) solutions. They should have had a plan laid out before they said a
    word or just start replacing things slowly then tell the world. In this world everyone
    looks at what you and do and say it all has repercosion.

    The obvious military uses of this I wonder if the private sector will get any use of this. This would great for construction, junk yards, security, farming, ..etc. Alot of our everyday technology drickles down from the military. The question is how long will it take for the military to allow the private sector use this technology.

    This Case should be about one thing and one only.
    The fair use of DVD I am glad that is what is
    happening. If someone pirated a DVD they should be
    prosecuted but using DeCSS to play a legal copy of
    a DVD you have that is something different. All we
    want is to use your DVD with the operating system
    of our choice.

    Some would live in a known hell than an unknown heaven. The Future is just that The Future we don't know what it holds. All we can do is live our lives one day at a time and make sure that we live each day to the fulless that is all we can ask ourself now. If Robots do come along and are our equals or better yet superior beings I don't think would allow that to happen. We should and always but in the proper safety measures if we create such beings which I don't see for another 100 years or so. I can not say today if I will want to live for ever in a robotic body or even a cloned body of myself. The future will be an exciting time regardless of what happens

In order to gain the full support of the linux community you need to supply the code or at least how the Video Card works.     These days just about everyone wants to play games. Games have been a driving force in advances in computer hardward mostly video cards. Just about everyone loves some type of game it doesn't have to be video games. Games are how we all like to unwind. Though out the years society always seem to enjoy events surounding competion. Olympics, Soccer, Gladitators, etc. This is why games are some of the first thing being ported to linux because we all love to play games
