Are the schools are going to take the responsibility of protecting there informents. Since the school are taking the role as police they must also take on the role in protecting thier sources. Now this child did what the school ask her to do. The suit agianst the child is stupid becuase she told the truth it is what the school did with the information that is the problem.

Since spam itself does not help support the infrastructure of the internet like TV, Radio, Newpapers, etc... ads do it is a problem. It takes up (unfairly) people's time and computer resources. Not to mention that of the ISP and backbone providers.
I hope spam does not become the advertising choose of the internet. Televison ads do not cost the consumer a thing execpt the cost of your TV and cable service. Also with televison ads the do not take away resources from the consumer.
Yes I do believe the banner ads are a nessary evil of the internet but not spamming. You can choose what websites you can go you can not choose who sends you junk e-mail. The difference between junk mail and junk e-mail is that junk mail does not cost you a thing to recieve it. Now junk e-mail it cost you your computer and a monthly fee inorder for you to get junk e-mail. Also junk e-mail also take up your ISP's and your personal computer's resources. All they are tring to sell a membership to service there are plenty of services that do not allow people transfer a membership from one party to another. So what is the big deal here? If they decided to use id cards with magnetic strips instead would they be tracking the kids via the cards? The advantage to finger printing is other kids can not steal other cards. And it would be fairly hard to steal some kids finger and no one notices that Johnny has no more fingers.
