While the thought of getting a cheap engagement ring that is of better quality than a real diamond excites me, what really gets me going is that diamonds will replace silicon within computer chips.
They have created p-n junctions with diamonds and one page of the article talked about creating a diamond Intel processor- cool stuff!
The article talks about how as computing gets faster and faster, the heat produced will be too much for silicon wafers. Diamonds have the highest thermal conductivity out of any material out there- meaning that we can keep pushing the gigahertz without melting processors!
The great part is that the RIAA will claim a drastic increase in pirating after this week because all the people that were on vacation not downloading music are back.
Then they will be "forced" to take more drastic measures to reduce piracy. How convenient...
I like the outlook look- it seems pretty efficient to me the way they organize the folders and emails. The colors are kind of drab but other than that it's fine.
Too bad the links are/. ed already else I'd give my impression of them.
I'm always for for contemporary styling- I like the modern theme of Mozilla over the classic theme, and 3D buttons and textures are always cool!
From The Death Gate Cycle (Weis and Hickman): Haplo, Xar
From Exiles (Rawn- I wish she'd freaking finish the third book!!!): Captal (which I use most often)
The funny thing is- everyone calls me capital.
If none of those work I make stuff up like Zalanthas.

Locusts and ants are different, as are other animals because they reach an equalibrium with their environment. This may be more of the case with animals such as deer because if they consume too many of their resources they die off because there isn't enough food to support them. Insects like locusts may consume and move, consume and move, but they have such a short life-span compared to us and compared to other animals that I think their impact is lessoned.
Humans have had a population explosion that just keeps going and going and going- eventually we will reach a critical mass and then things like the black plague and war happen. The only thing that enables this planet to sustain so many humans is our technology- maybe that is what will keep us going into the 22nd century.
Maybe your company is able to find resources where others have not, but what about resources like oil that take thousands of years to create? We will have used up all the oil in only a couple hundred years (starting around the late 1800s to the 2000s)
Maybe the Green organizations are over-hyped, but there is some credability to their claim. Also- wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? There is no point in being wasteful. Reduce, reuse and recycle.
One of the most compelling concepts is that a species' strongest competitor (and driving force behind their evolution) is their own kind, not their foes
This reminded me of the Matrix when Agent Smith says the only other organism on Earth like us are virii. When you think about it, it's mostly true- we move from place to place using up all the natural resources (oil, trees, etc) until there is nothing left, then move on. We ARE our biggest competitors because we are destroying our home.
I wonder what Earth will look like in 50-100 years?

Seriously though- this sounds quite interesting, maybe Cosmo and Redbook can learn something...
There is something to be said about actually holding a pen/pencil while writing. I personally think that I come up with more creative writings when I'm not on the computer because I have more time to think.
In fact, when I write poetry it is almost always written and edited with a pencil. I feel that it's more personal- especially if you're giving it to someone else.

I think it might just be missing punctuation - it still is awful writing but it makes more sense to me like this:
But those who marry, well, subsequently stop committing crime...
It's like when someone is talking to you and says something like- that's, ummm, great.

Modding a laptop is too difficult for the same reason that no one builds their own laptops.
Of course you could always slap a NOS or TYPE-R sticker on the top- that adds at least 500 MHz per sticker.
What's even more ironic is that the majority of the posts are about this being a duplicate post.
But now I've made a duplicate post of a post saying that everyone is complaining that this is a duplicate post... hmmm
