I myself own a GW2K and about a year ago, I guess gateway sued the maker of the monitors that gateway was supplied (Vivitrons..) , line 245 or something was defective and is only slightly more darker than all the other lines. They sent me a card and had about 3 pages in GW2K Magizine (sent out about quarterly to all customers) about this suit. If I remeber corectly, i could have gotten 25$'s out of the thing... but i ignored it, i didn't ever really care that much.. line 245 doesn't bother me anyway.
After the engineers push silicon to its limits we will start to see the first gen of bio-procesors or something yet ot be discovered. Trust me the CPU industry has WAY to much to loose if there market suddenly hits a wall. "Gee the new Mac G43234 10e4 mhz is the fastest that there ever will be.... no sense in upgrading!" The only way around this is simple.... we will have HUGE CHIPS.. things the size of HDs may be to come if Bio procesing doesn't come along quickly.
VHS the battle because the Porn industry supported it. Why do you think the Video CD failed? You would be hard pressed to find any recent North American porn on it. Asia is a differnt story all-together. You can look through any old smut mags that had ads in the back for video's (like Huster, Cheri) and if you count up how many betas can you find as compaired to VHS's? (and don't count the places that send you a slide projector or a reel to reel projector...)
Lets face it, in porn quality doesn't really matter, as long as your not asking your self the question "Is that a nipple or an anus?"

Anyway, chances are you need to watch out for Qwest buying up way to much shit and owning your life... Since the ONLY way they can get cheapest rates is by owning or direct leasing of lines..
So how long before theres the Software 100 Listing of Stocks? One question is why didnt this happen sooner since all of McAfees parent companys holdings have gone public, why did Network Assoc. wait for McAfee? Probably just say Andover.net and had to do it.

For one, I disagree with Katz on several things, mainly pirating a movie and such.
Personaly I feel the movie rating system has gone to far, with theater owners saying "no way jose" to teenagers, if its 17 or older, then why are movie companys all concerded about the NC-17 rating? I beleave you can accompany your kids into that, it is your right to expose your children to what you want. (most of the time) Other countrys have differnet rating systems that go by the way I fell ours should All People, 6 and up, 10 and up, 12 and up, 14 and up, and 18+, being that most movies that are comedy's or satires that are extremely offensive are 14 and up, 12 and up would be todays PG-13.. if the point was to curb violence have movies that show more than just a plain death or an elabreate murder/suicide be 18+, no exeptions... sex can be handled by 14+ and light sex can be handled by 12 and up.. the ages were chosen by there developmental stages, All being animated nonsense with no unplesentness, 6 being movies that have a death and/or involved kissing. 10 being a little more death and more romance. 12 and up is basicly frontal nudity, still no murder but death can be a subject, 14 and up can be non-penatrating sex scenes (you can asume there is penatration, but none is shown on camera) and concouis murder can be shown, 18+ is everything else, be aware any of these cna be over-ruled by a parents intergection...
The movie system in its self was supposed to be a warning to parents. Aparently thats not enough.
I myself, am an Agnostic, who has an open view of most religons (exept the wacky ones that worship toast). Putting in the most of the commandments isn't in its self a bad idea. Telling the kids, hey, don't murder people, is good, although i'd figure they'd all figure that out. But I have trouble with it on a few levels, it tells you to keep a 'holy day sabath' , which Goverment shouldn't tell you to do, and no to use gods name in vain, another thing Goverment shouldn't do. (Goverment being Public Schools).
Adultry and 'Coventing thy neighbors wife' is another thing. Its all a mater of choice and Goverment should stay out of that. If I am lusting over my neighbors wife, then I don't want the Goverment telling me not to.
Also I'd like to point out just because the Ten Commandments are a religous article doesn't mean they can't be used in a public institution. Hell, the '10 Bus Rules' (Like Sit in your seat and such) can be cited in some new religon as a religous article, doesn't mean we (public) can't use them. However, the Commandments to cite to a specefic set of religon(s), The Judo-Christian set to be exact. Thats what makes them not acceptible to use.
I just wish the Goverment would stop trying to enforce there own morals on everyone. I am not saying in anyway that I have no morals, my stand is "If it doesn't conflict with someones personal living, then it's ok" Being Rape,Murder, and Death Threts are wrong and Suicide, Crack Smoking, and Doing what you want with concenting adults on your own property is ok.
