Windows has 18 gazillion pieces of software to use that cover nearly all of my wants and needs.
Nope, Windows has about 100 pieces of software that you know how to use.
Linux "probably" has more of the pieces of software you'd use if you learned how to use them. Your hassle is with having to learn new apps.
Damn it is my signature.
Open Source does NOT threaten Intellectual Property (IP), the American Way, or any of it. Open Source only competes with IP. People don't neccessarilly move to Linux and other Open Source because it is Open. People move to Linux and other Open Source because of simple reasons like,
better,
more stable,
faster, supports more or less expensive hardware,
etc.
The only thing Open Source threatens is Jim Allchin's pocket book because his "Intellectual Property" is arguable not as good as the Open Source alternative.
I discovered Debian and Stormix too late. What a great installer and a solid distro. Problem is, I downloaded the ISO. I didn't buy it. I'll go to the store today and buy a copy, but again, it's too late.
Ctl-click for contextual menus too complex a sequence for you to remember?
If one hand is on the mouse and the other is pressing Ctl, what's holding the Mountain Dew?!?
Who designs there web page? This "article" uses a large font, it's double spaced and only covers 1/8 the width of the screen. If they don't have geeks there that can make a web page presentable, then where did the author learn about Linux.

SSH Communications Security Corp, let's expand it shall we?
Secure SHell Communications Security Corporation
This redundantly repeats itself over and over again repeatedly.
The only intelligent solution is to have SSHCSC change its name.
Debian? Never heard of it. Weird that I mentioned it in my post. Wonder how that happened?

Why are we rehashing this? This is the June 15th press release. PCWeek did its tests AFTER this. The kernel used was 2.2.6. Am I missing something?
