From the main window go to "Tools --> Options"
Click on "Composition".
Click on the "Send Options" button.
In "Text Format", change the drop down box to "Ask me what to do."
This way, every time you hit send it will come up with a dialog box asking you if you want to send plain text, html or plain text and html.
I've been using it for a while and it's good/open source.
I especially like the inline tagging (If you type <body then a popup with all the options for a body tag appear and if you type </ then it automatically fills out the rest of the end tag.)
