  1. Roger Ebert 3 stars (of 4) on Katz vs. Taco: The Matrix · · Score: 1

Even Roger Ebert liked this movie a lot, which is surprising considering his dislike of Sci-Fi. What surprised me the most was Keanu Reeves doing yet another cyberpunk movie with what seems like a hard-to-follow storyline after the disastrous Johnny Mneumonic...

  2. Too late. on Unreal for Linux? · · Score: 1

It may be too late for you to be interested in Unreal as a game, but the Unreal engine has been licensed for use in many games that are due out this year and next. Hammering out Linux support for Unreal now may convince these developers licensing the Unreal engine to include it in their games.

The porno webmaster might be able to if he is savvy, but the Geocities advertiser driven business plan would never work with such bandwidth intensive sites...

  4. Try stores near college campuses on "Pi" is out on VHS and DVD · · Score: 1

Film rental places adjacent to college campuses are also excellent places to find foreign/cult films. They're usually cheaper than Blockbuster, too...

  5. AMD K6-2 300 / Win98 system lockup with DES client on DES III starts Today (Upgrade Those Clients!) · · Score: 1

Ugh, the new DES clients with MMX bitslicing locks up my AMD K6-2 300 / Win98 system hard. I have to use the older clients (build 421 Win32) that use the ByrdDES core. Unfortunately, this is 3x slower than the MMX-bitslicing code!
(Oh well, I'm done with my pity party.) ;)
