    Really? Millions spent on 'compliance' ... are you new to the business world in general?

    I can't think of a single business other than credit card processors and banks that ACTUALLY put EFFORT into security.

    For pretty much everyone else, the standard is 'fix the breech after the fact that it happened'

    The police know your car is stolen before you do if you're out of town and someone steals it to rob a bank.

    When investigating crime, you generally follow the leads back to the source to find the perpetrator. That means unless the perp was a moron, (S)he probably bounced through some networks that would make it harder to track them ... and thats why the FBI goes to them.

    Second, if they knew they were breeched and what it was, they'd just fix it.

    99 times out of 100, someone else informs you that you've been breeched.

    I don't know your grandfather, but since he came home and it sounds like he was honorably discharged, no one is going to hold a few war trophies over his head like he is evil because he isn't.

    Kim on the other hand, had no involvement what so ever in WWII, any more than I did. If he inherited them, like you, thats one thing, but thats not the case. He seeks this stuff out. He takes advantage of any thing he can, legal or otherwise. He think's his far ass is better than the people he takes advantage of and his emails show that he is an utter fucking pile of shit in every conceivable way.

    Anyone who defends Kim in any way is seriously disconnected from reality.

    He deserves no benefit of the doubt, he has lost that due to repeatedly begin charged and convicted with fraud. The current court case is what? At least his 3rd ... and the first 2 he was guilty as shit with ridiculous amounts of evidence ... and he spent the whole time, even with evidence presented, saying he didn't do that or he did nothing wrong.

    Strong players are going to be playing against other strong players, which are less likely to call them cheats.

    Crowd sources most definitely does filter it out, this is a GREAT example of how crowd sourcing can stop bullying in its tracks. The 'crowd' won't rate a normal non-abusive person badly. They'll only get a few bad reports from a few select people.

    Those same people who gave bad reports to you for no reason probably did it to others as well.

    When you have no complaints from most people you play, and one guy ... who complains about everyone they play ... makes a complaint about you ...

    Well, the boy who cried wolf got what he deserved, didn't he? :)

    Dealing with griefers in this context is trivial and more or less a solved problem, the question you really want the answer to is ... is it in their financial interest to keep assholes in check?

    That is trivial to filter out and is already something implemented.

    A few bad marks don't really do that much damage to your reputation especially from a small group of people.

    If EVERYONE you play with gives you a bad rating, then you end up with a shitty rep.

    Dealing with karma whores is trivial, and thats all this is.

    And guess what happened, then there became services that aggregated those different 'channels' into groups and sold them together as packages from one company ... you might have heard of it ... its currently called a cable company, and you can get data from different competing providers like ABC, NBC, TBS, ect from them ...

    So sure, the future of TV is going to be radically different be cause some random douche has a shitty Internet connection and is pissed of at Netflix because he lives in the sticks.

    So they (or you if appropriate) invested in some random group of people you never met, have no track record to look at, because you found a website that let you throw money at them ... and they told you how they were going to make something awesome. You didn't bother to do any due diligence background work on your own and instead basically gave money away to the Nigerian prince.

    You pretty much deserved it.

    But you didn't get ripped off and thats not what happened.

    Did the original kick starters get what they paid for? (Dev units I expect?) If so, how did they get ripped off?

    Kickstarter is not an investment website, its a donation website. Not really sure how they got ripped off other than you don't like Facebook (me either!)

    SkyActiv is a set of improvements across the entire vehicle. The engine is one component of that.

    The technology would apply to electrics as well actually, as its mostly doing things to reduce rolling friction across the vehicle. Lots more room for improvements in those areas.

    Then you'll have absolutely no problem breathing the exhaust air from a coal planet smoke stack for the duration of that '20 mile drive' while we do the test then, right? 'Industrial-scale scrubbers' do not make coal clean, they make it less ridiculously disgustingly dirty. That is no where near clean and is in fact fucking filthy if you've ever lived anywhere near a coal powered plant you'd know this though.

    So basically, you're powering the electric vehicles with free energy and ignoring the pollution generated in the charge process so you can come out like a smug ass wipe?

    You can drive your electric car 20 miles without ever begin charged? How about you spend the time for that 20 minute drive in the smoke stack of the coal burning planet that charged the batteries you want to use rather than pretending that your batteries are magically charged by pollution free unicorn farts.
