You should defenately look for stuff at sourceforge there is a lot of good software there
Audacity.sf.net (to edit wav/mp3/ogg etc) gaim.sf.net (like trillian/msn/aim/icq and irc) CDex.sf.net (cd ripper) Tuxpaint.sf.net (the little bug loves it) and more games ( http://gaming.foundries.sourceforge.net/ )
besides the 'better looking anyway' part, the people responsible for pictures are mostly less IT savy creatives. Ever looked around in a place like that ?
If it ain't Mac it probably is lost.
For those who run into trouble looking for mirrors

You should realize the document as a whole should be encripted, not only the flags. Using Kerebos (or somethine similar) as the basis for the server, and PGP to implement encription. All Open source stuff needed is already available. When integrated there are all known working parts and the internal structure can stay the same.
I'll try to make this point to the Open Office community. I hope you'll find an 'encription' incubator in the near future...
After posting i realised this whould have been done already, so i had to be more specific, i meant not a copy of the intel variant that i have also seen, but something similary recognizable but less geeky like the motherload of the stickers i found on your link (thanks anyhow). The one form Cafepress does come in mind.
