I like the Pilot VBall Grip...they are quite cheap, and very clean and fine: only 07
Speaking of which, I always like to go for the finest pens, since they are the neatest: anybody know of any gel pens (like the Pilot VBall) that are 5 or 6 mm?
If files are defined by content, and not by format, then what if I share a song as an image file? The purpose of it is to be listened to, but I'm giving it as a.jpeg. Should those still be licensed?
the DVD is actually the source of most of the income: the movie companies make far more money on DVDs than on the movies playing in theaters
they're selling the DVDs: the theatrical release is just an advertisement
Someone made a comment earlier about mp3 cds...they really are far better than regular cds. I'd buy an mp3 cd with 75 songs (at, say near cd quality 256 bitrate) for 15 dollars. Maybe they should start selling them, like collections or something.
Which reminds me, I've always wondered why nobody ever shares 700 MB files on file sharing to burn onto a cd. Or 20 GB archives with lots of music presorted to burn on an iPod.
people would be having to constantly check their speed and would need constant paranoia to not go over the speed limit; this would cause more problems than it solved, since people would not focus on driving - speeding's not much of a problem anyways, as long people drive with the traffic...the only problem is in insanely fast driver, who normally get pulled over anyways (and cops pulling people over is much better and cheaper than installing such devices in everyone's car). How would they prevent people from hacking/otherwise bypassing the things?
This is a "Sun TV" video stream with today's news from sun - it tells us that only early registration has been opened today to get Mad Hatter - it will not be formally unveiled until the Sun Microsystems conference which it talks about.
This bbj news article reports that due to the recent microsoft virii/wormies, Mad Hatter is being made available now...interesting. They are really pushing it as an alternative to windows.
Actually, I read that the worm was started by hackers in China, but that hackers elsewhere refined it, and made it more widespread. American hackers probably added the anti windows things (hence the "why do you let us do this" line). Of course they would be anti M$.
Hey guys,
If worst comes to worst, you can just run system restore...you don't have to download the patches (but it should work if the firewall is on).
System restore works - my dad did it on this computer:
Dad: The machine kept freezing all over the place (suspicious of me screwing it up).
Me: Oh?
Dad: Yeah, but I ran system restore.
too bad this was two days ago, before the worm info hit the net
I tried the link to Microsoft's page about it from ZDnet...it didn't go
Has Microsoft already been DOS'ed, or is it more likely just a slashdotting thing (ha ha slashdotting microsoft)

I like discworld, since I like the discworld books by Terry Pratchett that the MUD is based on. Very funny writing.
