i have hated this state from the moment i saw it, but this is the nail in the coffin...any chance that wisconsin had of keeping me as a post-collegiate resident has now expired and it will be their economic loss

Have you used Cubase's score editor? Because it seems Hans Zimmer has...if it's good enough for him, it should be good enough for most of the rest of the world. And yes, I know the difference because I tried to score music with Finale, and I have written songs with Cubase. Just because the sequencer is the default interface doesn't mean there isn't more under the hood.

  4. No big loss... on Finale 2004 Available for Mac OS X · · Score: 3, Interesting

Having used Finale in my high school, I can safely say that it is the worst software I have ever used to write music. That is to say, it has the worst interface and least functionality I have yet to encounter outside of silly Geocities-style shareware. Cubase/Logic seem much more practical and offer many more options at the same price point.

    Chad, Project Manager:

"Let me clear up a few things. First off, the Linux version has been ready since the Windows Beta release. It was my fault for the delay since I wasn't sure we should support linux or not."

"As for running as root, since Warp Pipe is only run during the time you use it, it shouldn't be an issue. It should never be kept running unattended. Also, our linux support will be limited to command line applictions, as we don't have the resources for the limited demand to create a GUI that would interface with our application server. Although we will still keep releasing the command line application."
