Most likely it never touched systems and was put in by some sales shmuck or bean pusher after everything on the RFP response was reviewed and engineering told them not to. Someone asked for 99.995% uptime (26min and a change; there is one more 9 than you put in), sales decided that planned outages and packet loss don't count in, hilarity ensues.
Don't confuse Russia with Eastern Europe. There is no alcoholism in eastern Europe, but the local definitions there. Having a beer at lunch every day, and a small shot of hard liquor with dinner is not alcoholism. Nobody acts like the alcoholics here in US act. I have lived in both places, know it first hand.
For crying out loud, just get a calibrator and calibrate all monitors to 6500K. You will be surprised how brown it looks on most monitors, compared to their natural white point. And keep that all day. I never had a problem falling asleep right in front of the monitor that way.
Seriously, the problem is that drinking is only allowed at 21. Back in Europe, especially South Europe and Eastern Europe parents give small amounts of wine to children in a controlled family environment around the age of 6, diluted with water or lemonade as much as 1:20. Beer is offered around 9, at amount of one half water glass (around 125ml). By 13 most teens have a glass of wine of a bottle of beer (500ml) perfectly responsibly on extended family gatherings, and by 14 it is usually their first (and very often last) drink till you pass out moment. They are embarrassed, it hurts and they never repeat it. By 21 most don't care much for a drink, and will have a beer or two with lunch or dinner, and never get drunk, engage in binge drinking, do stupid stunts like Americans do - beerpong or kegstands, or drink so much that they are outside of control or pass out. By 30 most people will be having 2-3 drinks per month.
On the other hand compare that to Scandinavian and Anglo-Saxon countries with their fake moral, fake abstinence, and you get people being so long forbidden of drinking that the first time they are out of the control of their parents and are with likeminded out of control individuals they are trying to go into dick measuring contents, trying to impress girls and whatnot, or just plain enjoying the forbidden fruit so much and so often that they frequently drink till they pass, repeatedly for many years. There is no element of embarrassment of falling asleep on the toilet seat with pants down and your parents coming to wake you up. There is not enough head hurting from getting drunk while the organisms isn't strong enough. And there is definitely the self-ratification of doing the forbidden thing.
Same in fake morals America. The solution to responsible drinking isn't prohibition and increasing age restriction. It is controlled introduction from a young age, that allows to gain experience, lose the novelty, and also build tolerance.
That isn't quite true. Most functional European towns have offices of architectural, retail, financial, design bureaus, construction engineering firms etc, above the 1st floor retail. Those are mostly small companies 10 employees, and occupy second of 3rd floor, just above retail, and there are at least 2-4 floors of residential on top. Then you may have a building here and there where all the 2-4 stories above the retail are offices - like import/export, larger design and construction bureaus, small software companies or ISPs, larger accounting firms,
There is no need. Just force the landlords to really set real market prices. When I was living in the area (Redwood Shores) there were constantly about 20 free apartments in the community. That was perhaps 15% of the number of their units. The landlords preferred to keep them empty rather than reducing rent a 100 bucks and have all them occupied. Every year the rent renewal was increasing +30%, while the price for new renters was the same. However they never allowed you to rent another apartment at the price for a new renter, and your current one went up without any reason, outside of greed that is. It was the same everywhere in that area. if you tried to move to another complex, they would quote you a lower price if you said that you are moving from out of state, than if you told them you were moving from their competition, sometimes up to %10 of the monthly rent difference.
P.S. Clock for clock the U processors are about twice (or more) as productive than the N processors especially in single threaded operations for the same processor generation and comparable modification.
Correct. My tablet with the keyboard (Surface RT with the touch keyboard) on the other hand is also a hair thicker than 10mm, impossible to say how much without using calipers, that is why I am saying it is already invented. It is likely 10.3 or 10.45. Compare that to 9.65 - it falls within the error margin of a human cognition at distance.
Definitely. I can tell you which one is which by just starting and typing into notepad from the command prompt in windows. On the Atom thingies there is a very subtle delay between the keyboard press and the character appearing on the screen both inside command prompt and inside notepad. It is just enough to land smack middle on the graph of delay I can accept producing the uncanny valley effect. If it was a tad longer, I wouldn't have felt it that much.
So it is 10mm thick (or rather 9.6). It is not remarkable. I have a Dell that isn't much thicker at 13mm. I also have a tablet with removable keyboard (A laptop) that comes at less than that. Also Atom - Intel's garbage.. Not interested. Give me a Haswell/Broadwell/Skylake any day (XXXXU processors), but the Atom/Braswell/Bay trail/Cherry Trail are the utter crap
That was before USA took away their personhood out by bombing them with atomic bombs, raped their women, and occupied their country illegally for over 70 years now. Actual heads of corporations are Americans, and we all know how they lie. Japanese are just string puppets.
Or they will just hire people for $1.98/hour to keep standing on street corners with walkies. You know, like spotters, or a localized version of ATC. I do have a few guys panhandling on intersections, almost every day, I can definitely see a use for them spotting drones.
The only reason I go to work (besides (occasionally, with the new PHBs) enjoying what I do) is to save a little bit more so I can buy enough land for a self-sustaining farm.
The years of RND have already been paid, by other money, or they wouldn't have happened. Nobody does RND on a loan, and if it were a load, the loan payments are cost of production, as are salaries.
Greed, greed, human greed. Aren't Apple the company that has 150+B in the bank. Why do they need them all. Instead of working on 20% markup they are working on 400% markup. This should be outlawed. Limiting markup to 20% is the only thing communism got right.
It would be interesting to know if the guys were keto adapted at the end. Fats have more than twice the energy of carbs and carbs for the same volume and weight can be synthesized from protein. So sending proteins and fats only will reduce the volume and weight of food supplies quite a bit. Canned tuna if there was no sugar is actually just that, but powdered protein requires even less storage. I can't find any word on that; does anyone know?
Except, if you have already connected a cable and iTunes, why go back to 9.3.5? Just install 10 right away and sync it.
ctrl+shift+D and select the quality(bitrate) that you want. You can even select multiple. It has been possible since 5 years ago.

That's not close. It is about the Earth circumference at the equator. Anything farther out and the earth's diameter is too far out.
With the bullshit OS fiasco, the hardware bugs and silicon backdoors I would never buy anything newer than Broadwell.
So you can have a feeling where your limit is. And also.. lower the DUI limit to 0.05% like it is in other places. 0.08% is too high.

They are definitely woefully inadequate to run today's web's javascript if you have more than one page open.
Oh the horrors, parking on 445 Bryant and having to walk 3 minutes to a restaurant. The parking on Bryant has always had available spaces.

University ave and the one parallel to that on the south. Nola (map it) is in downtown. So is the apple store, and even Gordon Biersch.

Newegg were having a sale yesterday on Alienware Steam Machine (Alpha with SteamOS) for 319. It was 329 the day before with a free BT speaker
