Then guess what...? All the closed source people will adopt it then slowly change it over the next 20 years....
Then we have to start over again!
Let's face it, The money leads and everything else follows....

I did residential on the side because it was easy. Got tired of the pager. Now I am a network app admin for a state agency. I work on pinballs on the side.... make decent money at it too...
If you'd hear some of the stories I hear about how the plumbers at colleges fix pipes while girls are walking around naked taking showers, etc... my God, I wouldn't last a week in place like that. My friend who IS a plumber at a prominent college in MD told me last week a guy got fired. Reason? You cannot do bong hits with the students! Who'da thunk it?
God IS real. No matter how far we get, we still won't know the truth till we realize God is real and start seeking the Science of God. You might think I'm full of crap but look around...
Look at the paranormal---- Too much evidence to discount it entirely. So... if there is an unseen dimension or world or whatever you wanna call it out there, than there's probably a whole bunch of other stuff we have no clue about...
We just see the physical.. we have no clue...
Why doesn't science investigate how someone can forsee events....
Why doesn't science investigate psychokinetics...
Why doesn't science investigate...telekinesis
Why doesn't science investigate why prayer works...
Because it goes against scientific logic...
forces them to believe in what they can't see...
They can't do that...
Ask any real, I mean REAL Christian and they have no doubt about the existence of God....
I'm not perfect, I do things I'm not supposed to, I mess up all the time, but I believe and continue to strive to do better... That's all...
I think all God wants us to do is admit he exists... once we do that, it changes your whole out look on life..
Lets see.... my life sucks, what can I do about it?
If God is the God he says he is...all I have to do is make a human attempt at what he wants me to do and he will take care of the rest...
Wouldn't having a supreme being on your side make life a little more tolerable?
Believe it or not it does work....
The only way to know for sure is to try it....
I've struggled for 6 months to get my damn Cisco PC card to connect to my linksys router using redhat 7.3 and 8 and 9. Still can't get it to work.
Everything appears to be there but there's something missing. Problem is... and this leads into my next gripe, the documentation available for troubleshooting....
So much that only partially applies, I've found that a way of life for fixing Linux problems is grab all the documentation, digest it, then regurgitate the solution....
But I guess when there's 6 billion flavors of Linux, this is what happens...
I feel better now....
This has to be a way of slowing the Linux Freight Train down. And the Open Source Software Community Tarctor Trailer. Both have been picking up speed the last few years and are finally able to deliver the goods, for the GOOD of ALL. SCO/MS are trying to shoot the tires and derail these vehicles. What better way to slow down OSS/LINUX than to make everybody afraid to implement it. I work for IT of our state gov't and me and a few of my co-workers have been trying to find a legit use for Linux since we've been here... Now we'd be afraid to mention it...
The longer this drags out the worse it will be for OSS and the better for MS iunless SCO gets made a real shit covered ass of.
I love Linux and nobody's gonna tell me I can't use it or try to charge me for it.
