    ATA66 isn't so bad. my 36 gig raptor clocks in at 54.9 MB/s, and that's a fairly fast drive. you probably won't be able to max out ATA66 with anything available at a reasonable price now.

    house can also mean something similar to family, e.g. "you and your household" -> you and your family. the house of david, meaning his lineage, and etc. it doesn't always stand for a building.

    i haven't played that in soo long (just got back into starcraft... one thing at a time). is there still a largish group of players? oh, and do they still do neotf games?

    a 4501 would also work for less money.. i found one recently on ebay at a good rate, but it only had 1 nic on it.

    we've got two of those (although one is only used as a switch). they work just fine...

    one time i had to reset it, but that was after a brownout which might have put it on the fritz. luckily it kept the old settings

    you may want to look into a soekris net4501 for the pc. it comes with everything but the "hard drive" (in quotes because it's a cf card)

    i walk 20 minutes or so to school, and i wear hiking boots. they help when walking a long way or carrying something (like a backpack). it's also nice because i can walk through snow (waterproof) and sit in class with the same footwear.

    i wear blue jeans and a dark blue t-shirt every day. sometimes (when it's cold enough) i add blue or gray hoodies to the mix... saves decision making time in the morning, i just pull the next thing off its hanger. and if i get something dirty and change nobody notices

    when i go to college i can do everything in one load... except maybe the grey sweatshirts

    for a cheaper implementation (as far as looking like the real thing is concerned) try a mechanical system with several number plates on a track or something

    if you're happy with 2 you could put one on each side of a metal plate and flip it.

    oh, i don't really care what the average joe uses. i'm just trying to say that it's not so hard once you get the hang of how to get the hang of things.
