  1. These websites will soon find out that it isn't enough to just ban US users. Since US users can simply use VPN/proxies their legal requirements (if there are any) are not met. US users can still visit the websites.

  2. Yes, it is hypocrisy, because those "fundie Christians" have abortions too. "Fundie Christians" are people who messed up their own lives so badly that they needed to be "born again". Too bad for them that isn't possible.

  4. That explains it. The idea lacks common sense. What kid is going to wear a wristband constantly and not take it off? What parent is going to ensure that is happening? The wave solution is much superior.

  5. This is a joke, right? Please tell me this is a joke. I am rapidly losing faith in humanity.

Essentially what the corporations want is for people to only user the Internet via locked down ("approved" or "secure" devices). These devices will only have cloud based storage available and everything will be streamed from servers and the consumer will only need to pay a monthly fee for all this goodness. If you don't think this will happen, think of the children, or the terrorists, or the terrorist children, or security, or whatever the problem is this week.

  7. More fake "innovation" from the MIT Media Lab. When have they actually produced something that might be useful? And I call baloney on the ability to identify non-verbalized words. Complete BS.

  11. Microsoft has been pushing this Xiaolce since 2014. Complete utter failure. Microsoft could fire 80% of their workforce at this point and no one would notice.
