    There is a reason to hate C#. It is effectively controlled by a single corporation. Don't give us bullshit about it is "standard" or "open". It isn't. It is Microsoft. It doesn't matter if it is Microsoft or Google or Sun or Apple or whatever, it is still controlled by a single corporation. C++ is open and standard.

    Correct. This is a slam piece written by the entrenched education lobby (probably unite4education) pretending there is a valid reason that the Ugandan government shut these schools down. This is even more dangerous than "fake news". Notice it is always "Anonymous"

  24. Also, nowadays it is much harder to write software that is interesting. Back in the olden days I wrote games and my games were semi-close to what you could get commercially. Simply because programming was much easier back then and commercial games were written usually by a single dude anyway. Nowadays kids aren't going to be impressed by games they make themselves, because they will compare them to the $50-million-budget games you can get at Best Buy.

    You don't achieve AI by just throwing processor power at it. Cost isn't a concern here. If it cost $400 billion to achieve AI someone would spend that.
