C++ is actually used in real programs for a large amount of software you use every day. Go, Swift and Rust aren't even used in the flagship products written by the organizations that created the languages. That should tell you what the difference is.
You probably rarely use your bike at all. The point is that this is a city bike (commuter bike) that is to be used regularly. It is useful. Just not to fat suburbanites.
It is only a matter of time. You must have missed the recent talk about adding support for login IDs to websites to National ID cards in the EU. That is the first step, to support it. Then the next step is to require it. Eventually you will need an approved device with approved applications.
BitTorrent isn't illegal (yet). Eventually it will be as will all "unapproved" Internet applications. That is the way the Internet is headed. Some day you will only be allowed to connect with "approved" devices and "approved" applications. Because terrorists and children ya know?
You want a folding mountain bike? For what? These are city bikes. Do you want a Ferrari that goes offroad too? I would say your mountain bike is not very useful either since you rarely go to the mountains with it.
I went to an ebike store and the guy was showing me bikes in the range of $4,000-$6,000. Who would pay that much? Ridiculous. You know they are being manufactured in China for $200.
If you work in a walled garden you are just a gardner.
They don't work harder. It is easy to get richer when you are rich. It is much more difficult when you aren't already rich.
Actually I inherited most of my wealth. Who said I hated the rich? I am just pointing out facts here.
Yes you would. Rich people don't work as hard as their gardeners. There is this fallacy that the rich "work hard" for their money. Most inherit it.
"Automated publishing" sounds a whole lot like spam to me. Disgusting.
Who cares how fast we can connect to Akamai? Worthless.

You mean Rust. Rust is a terrible hipster language that won't last 5 years. C++ is going on 40.
Obviously you have never met my friends. "Hey, I have a great idea for this app. Can you program it for me?"
Well at least someone figured out how to make money with Android apps: Udacity.

Luxury market? You mean overpriced. It is a bike. Unless you are an elite athlete that extra $5000 isn't going to make a difference.
I could replace your $200 derailleur with a $30 one and you would still finish the race in the same place, unless you are an elite athlete.
50k is savings is likely more than you have if you are buying $40,000 watches. But you aren't, because you are an angry neckbeard.
What a joke. You must go to the ghetto and think "boy these people are so rich. Look at all that jewelry they wear"!

Doubtful. Most of the upper/upper middle class people who have actual liquid assets in the US don't go around wasting $10k on a watch.
Really? I'll bet your friends have 5-10lbs of belly body fat too. Saving a few grams isn't going to make a difference unless you are an elite athlete.

Obviously. My point is who would pay $6,000 for an ebike? Ridiculous.
You are naive if you don't think non-Chinese equipment has their own backdoors.
They are a $20 billion dollar company. They can buy plenty of vowels. Also, I think i, a and o are all vowels.

It is sad that most Slashdot readers (and editors) now don't know the difference between CACHE and code.
