You are indeed an anonymous coward.

Nonsense. For you to be correct, there can not be anyone earning money who dislikes capitalism. As that is clearly not the case, you are wrong. Of course it's comforting to you to think that these people are just like you, as that means you can stop taking their criticism seriously and not have to think about it.

The problem is capitalism doesn't ensure progress and freedom. It might ensure it for some, but for society as a whole, capitalism left to its own devices is inherently dangerous. We only have to look back to the beginning of the industrial revolution for some great examples, and continuing forward where companies move quicker than regulation and end up screwing customers over by abusing their market share, etc.

wattsupwiththat.com has lost its credibility, unfortunately. In their zeal to debunk climate change they stooped to giving a voice to non-experts giving their opinions, rendering the editorial indistinguishable from factual reporting. I don't have the time to wade through those links and try to figure out if they are even pretending to tell the truth or not, and I doubt you have done so.

So with that, can you cite some peer-reviewed sources which have not pissed their credibility up a rope?

It sure seems like it from here, as you are arguing against some very basic concepts which have been demonstrated time and time again, screaming for evidence, when the evidence is a heartbeat away, and any sane adult seriously interested in educating themselves would have crossed paths with it a long time ago.

No. Just no. Yes, ADAC has lots of influence, and cars are indeed popular, but so is cycling. Cycle paths are generally created where cyclists want to ride their bikes, as otherwise the city will have to move them or have to pay for the upkeep of where the cyclists do ride, be it in maintenance or scraping people off the road.
